Would you just do videography for the ceremony?

This is a real personal decision. We’re not even having video because to me, photogrpahy is more important and video just isn’t worth the $$$. Is this something that is really important to you, or something you feel you could live without?

I would go with DIY video.  I’m sure there are ways to edit that these days too online (again, I know nothing about video!), and you could make your own highlight reel the way you want!! Save the $200 in my opinion.

@bmo88:  How about going with the $200 videography for the ceremony, and have your grandpa do some filming at the reception. That way you have the professional nicely edited stuff and the home video as well. We didn’t get videography at all because photography was much more important to us and I can’t see myself actually watching my wedding video enough to justify the cost (I hate seeing myself on video!) but if it’s really important to you, and you feel it will pay off, go for it!
