@VickyAurea: I've been thinking about it :) Haven't put my name out there yet, but my proposal isn't too far off -- sometime next spring or early summer, according to SO. And I'm on the bee often enough that I see pretty much all the newly-engaged posts. I'm just not sure I can fill Taylor4's shoes -- she did such a good job with the list that I am a bit intimidated by the idea!
@HeyKaraoke: I figured people might be a bit intimidated which is why I made this post to get people chatting about it. :)
At the end of the day, whoever becomes the next listkeeper, I am sure they will do a brilliant job and we will all respect them for keeping it up for as long as they can or want to do so. I don't think anyone should worry about filling boots.
@VickyAurea: I've also thought about it, but I'm not sure if my engagement will be within the next couple weeks or in a year. I've only been on the bee for a little bit, and I've really started to love this community, so it would be nice to give back.
@T-Rex: It's such a nice community, isn't it? Yeah, there's loads of stuff I'd *like* to do to give back and share with the community, like being a blogging bee.... except you kinda need to be having a wedding to do that :P. And you kinda need a timeline (in my opinion) to know you're not going to have the listkeeper burden for years and years!
@VickyAurea: Yes, if I had a timeline, I would put my name out there. But I don't, I wouldn't want to do it for a year, and being it for a week would be way too short of a time.
I was thinking about volunteering, but I can't post the list on Sundays, I would have to do it on Mondays and I'm not sure if that would be ok!
@MissBoPeep: I don't think people would mind what day it was - I think people care a little about consistency, though, which is why it's prefered to be the same day.... doesn't have to be any particular same day in my book though. Maybe if you're not sure, you could post a poll to see who would mind the list changing days?
@T-Rex: I think there's been some brief listkeepers in the past, not that I was about to remember them but Taylor4 mentioned all the previous listkeepers once in waiting list trivia, I think. I'd not worry about that - I'd just worry about having the burden for ages and having to let it go before getting engaged, as some bees have felt the need to do in the past. I'd want to leave the listkeeping on a real high note, like Taylor4, y'know?
@VickyAurea: Even though I don't have a timeline, I'm thinking I would be more on the breif end than on the long end.
@VickyAurea: It would definitely be every Monday, I know how much we all look forwards to the new list! I've been thinking about it for awhile, but it's so intimidating!
@MissBoPeep: Awww no, don't be scared! Just go for it. I think Taylor4 gets to pick anyway :)
@MissBoPeep: I'd vote for ya! And I wouldn't mind it being on Mondays. Like @VickyAurea: said, as long as it's on the same day(ish) every week, I'm totally fine with that.
@Wonderwoman217: Agreed, the day of the week isn't a huge deal, it is the consistancy that makes a good list keeper. @MissBoPeep: I think you would be great!

I'll think about it a little bit more, I just don't want to make such a big commitment and then not be able to handle it!
@MissBoPeep: I wouldn't mind a Monday list! I just like seeing a weekly list, which I know is quite the commitment, which has been one of the reasons why I haven't volunteered myself yet.
I hope all who are interested give it some time to think it over since it is a big job! Good luck!
I have thought about it, but for one I don't think I have been around on the boards long enough and I realllllllly think (hope) it won't be much longer until I am off the list myself.
Kudos to everyone putting their names forward, may I suggest perhaps a waiting bee who feels they will be around on the waiting boards for the longer term (in other words, those who feel they will be waiting a while don't be afraid to put your name forward). A long term list keeper would be great :)
When I first saw that Taylor4 was getting married - YAY! - I thought about it for a few seconds but HOPEFULLY i'll be off the list in a few weeks too and only doing it for such a short period seemed silly to me. By the looks of another thread MissBoPeep has the job - Yay! I'm sure you'll do an awesome job!
@MissBoPeep: I'd vote for you! I'd prefer Mondays to Sunday, winding down for the work week.:(

So Taylor4 is getting MARRIED! And we're all super psyched for her and her fiance. But someone needs to fill her boots and I was just wondering who's thought about it? I thought about it for a moment and then realised my proposal is probably WAY too far away and I don't think I could commit to putting so much effort into a weekly list for the next 2 years or more if I'm waiting that long! So Option 3 in the poll is where I'm at.
So, out of curiosity, who has thought about it? Is anyone putting themselves forward?
