I was wondering if a wedding book would be a good gift to a newly-engaged friend. I only bought one book, Mindy Weiss’s “The Wedding Book: The Big Book for Your Big Day”, but ended up using it more as a reference to look at occasionally. Which suggests that maybe these books are not as useful as one would think. However, I don’t want to base any decisions on myself because I am not much of a planner in general (I don’t have a wedding binder/notebook, an organized guest list, a formal budget, etc).
So did you buy/actually use wedding guides? Which one(s) did you choose and why? Or have you come across any great books about weddings that aren’t wedding guides (maybe fiction or other personal-experience-type books)?
