So FI and I were just talking about hotel blocks last night and how many of our guests we think will need a room. We know most of our college friends will stay because they’ll be drinking (probably heavily). But we weren’t sure about some of the older people that we invited. Most of them are from our home town.
Reception ends at 10:30. It’s about an hour and 45 minutes to our home town. Would you stay or would you drive home at the end of the night? I’m thinking most people will want to stay, do you think I’m right?

Yea I would stay. Is it open bar?

I would stay or get a DD to drive me home.

I would probably stay. Why don’t you add a poll?
Yes I suggest adding a poll as well. I would stay, 10:30 is fairly late if you have an hour & 45 min drive afterward.

We would probably leave a little early and go right home. I’m not a late night partying kind of person.

Thanks all. Added a poll. It is open bar.

One of us would stay sober enough to drive home.

Thanks all! Bumping this up to get a few more opinions!

We’re not drinkers so I think we would probably just suck it up and drive home.

We’d probably drive home, but it depends on the cost of the hotel. If the hotel were reasonable enough, we’d like to enjoy some drinks and then stay the night. But I know we don’t have a ton of extra $$$ to spend right now…

Depends on how much the hotel room costs I guess. We would probably leave a little early and drive home.

Probably not unless FI felt like drinking too.
