Something like I watch, yeah I would. How often would DH really look at my watch to even care? I got DH the watch he preferred as his wedding gift over one I would perhaps have a preference for. He’s wearing it so his choice.

MRS-K:  I guess for me it depends. If it is something that we would share then I would take his opinion into consideration. But if its clothing or accessories, he can have an opinion, but I wont necessarily take it, and he knows this. But it goes both ways. My FI has a solar watch, which he loves, which I am pretty meh about.

I think it also depends on whether you consider that he has good taste or not – especially in womens accessories!

DH hates my favourite LBD. He tells me I look like I belong on an episode of boardwalk empire Lol.but I LOVE it and get tons of compliments on it. The only time I would not buy something he didnt like would be if he had to use it too. Like furniture.

I wouldn’t let his opinion sway me on an accessory like a watch. I likely would never wear it at home so why would I care whether he likes it or not?

MRS-K:  For what you are refering to, yes. He is not wearing, I would be.

My fiance is older then me and is not very trendy going for more of the Brooks Brothers look, while most of the time I am preppy, sometimes I will pick something outside the box that is a little more trendy which he does not like but it does not keep me from wearing it or him loving me, that being said he does have good taste, so sometimes he can stear me away from something which might not be flattering on me, if it is flattering and just trendy he usually keeps his mouth closed.

I take his opinion on anything I wear, he is the one I am trying to impress and keep interested, after all!  I would not wear something he didn’t like or think I looked cute in.  I just like his opinion.  Luckily, he has the same taste I do, so he likes most of my choices.  I too will tell him if he’s about to buy a shirt or outfit that I think doesn’t look great.

MRS-K:  Yes I would buy it if I loved it, because I’m the one who would wear it.

I would take his taste into account if it was something we both used (e.g. a piece of furniture). But for something I wear, then I overrule him, every single time. Same for my opinions on his clothing (or watch): his drab taste frustrates me sometimes, but he’s the one who has to wear it so ultimately it’s his choice.

I like my FI’s opinion on some things, but at the same time it’s just a watch. I own neon yellow shorts with crazy coral flowers all over and that’s definitely not my FI’s style, but when I showed them to him he just smiled and shook his head then said “Only you would own those shorts.” and that was the end of it. Clothing is expressing who you are, and what you like, not what somebody else likes.

I buy what I want. FI doesn’t like that I vape, but it doesn’t cause any harm to him (or me for that matter since I don’t use nicotine) and I don’t do it around him, so it affects him zero. I’m an adult and nobody tells me what to buy or do.

If it’s for me I’d still buy it. My DH hates skinny jeans but you couldn’t pay me to stop wearing them!
