For fun i thought I would get your opinion:
Me and my Fiance took a picture with my lil cousin at her wedding and I posted it on fb. Someone commented on it ” Who invited the stripper from the grooms wedding?”
I was wearing a form fitting dress that was tea length and flowy but showed my curves I guess. My family jokes with me all the time about how I dress sexy and such. They tease me a lot and I enjoy it cause it si very loving. BUT I don’t know my Fiance family all THAT well. So I don’t know how to react. My Fiance responded ” I did. And I’m gonna marry her too!”
He teases me too 🙂 So is it an insult or should I be flattered…what would YOU think? And again I was not letting it all hang out, I was wearing a nice dress at a wedding, not a vegas style dress. I’m pretty busty though and this dress was not a cleavage dress. What I am getting at is I wasn’t dressed provocatively at all.

insult, you were called a stripper! but it depends on how you feel about it. you weren’t dressed provocatively but you were still called a stripper, that’s not a good thing

The person who commented is a douche, and your Fiance handled it very well. Don’t let ignorant people bother you. If you love the way you look and like the way you dress, then continue to do it. You can’t be anyone but yourself.

I would be insulted as well

strippers can be pretty damn hot who ever posted may just be a bit jealous I wouldn’t take it to heart.

It seems kind of insulting to me, but you don’t seem that upset so i guess it’s not a big deal? Your Fiance did handle it quite well… what a rude thing for someone to say!!

I’m verrrrry curious about the dress in question! Would you post a pic?
By the way your question is loaded: are you insulted your bf essentially agreed to the stipper comment or are you insulted at the comment itself?

Insult. Generally when women are compared to strippers, it’s meant in a negative way.

the guy apologized and said he thought it was one of the brides friends ( who, are young, dress slutty and are kinda party girls). I guess i felt like I SHOULD have been offended, but I wasn’t…but I am like…should I be?

My Fiance didn’t offend me at all! And i have met some very nice strippers. Non-trashy ones do exist! But yeah, pp is right huh? It is usually meant in a negative way, let me see if I can post the pic…

If you’re not offended, don’t get yourself worked up. Just let it roll off you. That being said, yeah, I’d be upset. I always say if you got it, flaunt it whether you’re a size 2 or 22. Rock on; don’t change your fashion style..that’s part of who you are!

I would be embarrassed if I was called out as a stripper when I was trying to look classy and appropriate for a wedding.
I have no problems with strippers but if the image I give people is one then yes I would check my wardrobe, especially if people are commenting “all the time” (your words) about how sexy i dress. its very much ok to dress sexy but i think there is a time and place
of course not seeing you or the outfit, the other guy could be talking out of his butt and is a douche

Compliment. I’d take it to mean the guy thinks you’re hot. (One of my many little rules of thumb: when in doubt, take any questionable remark as a compliment.)
And yeah, I want to see this pic!

I probably would have been offended unless it was one of our friends or someone that I knew well enough to know they were just joking. And I don’t get offended very easily. I’m glad that he apologized, but it was pretty rude of him to say considering it sounds like you don’t know him. When will people learn you don’t write stuff like that on Facebook?!
