I think some of them are really beautiful dresses in their own right, and someone could potentially fall in love without realizing they're "disney". It wouldn't be the selling point to me, but if I'd tried one on and liked it, I wouldn't discount it because of that.
The only one looks a bit "Disney Princess Costume" to me is the Belle dress. I don't think I'd be so into that one.
Some other wedding dress designer already has a Disney line of dresses..
Kirstie Kelly For Disney
i don't consider them to be "Disney princess" dresses per say - for the most part they're just modern dresses with limited connection to their inspiration characters. "oh, Ariel was a mermaid so she gets a mermaid style dress"! with that said, i absolutely love the supposedly Snow While-inspired one!!! I probably won't choose a dress 'til I can try it, that's how much I like it! I expected a Snow White dress to be more like this, but I totally prefer their version!

Not my style but I do care for them more than the Kristie Kelly Disney Dresses
i love the marketing idea behind it... and i like the snow white dress the most of all
I LOVE the snow white dress :( I wish I could get it..but it looks more for spring wedding with allt he flowers.
i also love the snow white dress even though it looks nothing like the original. the snow white dress reminds me a little of Melissa Sweet's Dora.
If you're 56, the only Disney characters that are age-appropriate are evil stepmothers and witches. I'll pass, thanks!
i love wedding dresses, I wish I could have 50 dresses for my wedding. I would wear those dresses, but it wouldnt be my first choice if I could only have 1 wedding dress. Luckily I am having 3 weddings so I get at least 3 dresses.
@2dBride: LOL!
Among these new ones I like the Sleeping Beauty dress. They're not as princessy as I thought they would be. For my wedding I wanted a big poofy dress with lace and embroidery so I looked at the Disney line before, but I was disappointed.
I thought they would be a lot cheesier than they are - they are beautiful.
I love the sleeping beauty dress - but that might be because it is a lot like mine ;-)
I think that just knowing that they were disney dresses would put me off. Some of them are beautiful, but the disney label feels too little girl for me. I want to feel like an adult on my wedding day, and disney (to me at least) reminds me of being a tween.
I might want one, if I fell in love with one. But it depends on how you view yourself on your wedding day; some people want the princess vibe and some don't. To some, a Disney wedding dress would be a childhood dream come true!
My dress is a Disney dress - but I didn't know that when I ordered it from Nordstrom. My sister and I started cracking up when we saw the Disney tag on it (I am not exactly a Disney princess person). I have no idea what Disney has to do with this dress, but whatever. It's just a label.
IMO i dont think the dresses really look taht disney except for MAYBE thebell dress. all of the other dresses (while gorgeous) dont rally look THAT much like the princess dresses...but maybe thats jusst me
but back to the question at hand, no i wouldnt mind looking like a disney princess for my wedding =)
I haven't seen these, but I like Kristie Kell's line.
I think ppl look more like wanna be princesses with tiaras on, no matter what dress they wear.LOL
I agree that I would probably not be apt to look for the Disney label, because while I'm a Princess wannabee... I want to be a princess like Princess Grace and not like the Disney play princess. I love the frills and lace look of a ballgown, but I want the style and elegance of tradition, not the dress-up game of childhood. The dresses look pretty and I'm sure that they are lovely in person, but I know that they aren't me...
thanks for this posting! i didn't know disney is coming out w/ a line of wedding dress. too bad my wedding is in 2 months, the dresses are pretty, they dont look like disney-ish at all, except maybe the Jasmin one.
When I saw "disney" dress I had something way different in mind. These are actually really pretty!! Snow white and sleeping beauty are my fave ones!
Snow White is my favorite! A little bohemian, I guess? Which is I guess what happens when you go live in a cabin in the woods....
@Scottielass: Npt having read the other replies....
I think that a lot of the Disney dresses are really pretty, but they look a lot like any other wedding dress to me.

I just saw a youtube clip that Alfred Angelo is doing a Disney Princess inpsired line of dresses. I was surprised. Some of them are really pretty. Not at all what I would have expected. Would you want to dress like a Disney Princess for your wedding?
