So I initially purchased peep toe grey metallic Gucci pumps to wear for the wedding that were 3″. But when i went for my first fitting last Tuesday I realized the dress was more of a mermaid than I wanted and decided to move the bottom portion up 3-4″ into more of a trumpet and then I’d wear flats. This also makes me shorter than my fiance now and will probably be better for pictures since fiance will be noticably more taller rather than the same height and of course, better for comfort.
But! I had no idea how hard looking for cute flast would be. I shopped and really didnt find anything I loved. Until it hit me that I had purchased these shoes years ago when they first came out and LOVED them but couldn’t really find a good enough reason to wear them because I loved them so much.
And as an added bonus, I don’t have to shop anymore! Since they’ve been sitting my closet unworn for what seems forever.
My dad loved the idea of them peeking out of my dress and me telling people I have little mice under my dress. But my mom thinks I should be more traditional.
What do you think? Would you wear these to your wedding?
And for reference, here is my wedding dress. It’ll be a semi-casual afternoon wedding.

Haha, I think they’re adorable. If you like them, go for it!

I think they’re GREAT!!!! And can already see the feet/shoe pic of awesomeness in my head!
I say if you like them then get them!!! =)

i like em! i got the teal gellies as potential reception shoes and didn’t like them, but since yours look like they are leather i’d go for it!

I think they are adorable. You are the bride, if you want to wear them -go for it!! Or -if you want to wear something else for the ceremony-and wear those for the reception-it could be the best of both worlds. At least you should get a cute photo of them!

Oh my Goodness! I told my husband I NEED these shoes. I think it is such a cute idea to have them peeping out under your dress. BTW – where did you get them?

I had to answer ‘no way’ on the poll, because you asked if I would wear them in my wedding and I wouldn’t. They are not my style at all, and not something that I could see myself wearing. However, I do think they are really cute, and you seem to have a fun-loving personality, so I say you should go for it!

To answer your question, no, I would never wear these with my wedding dress.
My wedding day is THE day of all days that I want to look, beautiful, elegant, and mature. They are too childish for me. If you think you can carry it off, go ahead.
ETA p.s. the poll didn’t work for me.

I wouldn’t personally but if a bride liked them I wouldn’t judge her. I might find it a bit eccentric.

@Mrs Grape: Thank you! I just dont want people thinking I’ve got crazy! haha
@runsyellowlites: that picture was the FIRST that i imagined when it hit me that I could possibly wear them to my wedding!
@elliestan: Awww too bad they didn’t work out for you. These are patent leather so they should photograph nice too.
@creativeplannertobee: Thank you! I just hope I don’t regret wearing something more traditional… but I’m not sure if I will.
@notevenclose: That’s exactly what I told myself when I first saw them!!! Haven’t worn them yet but knowing that I have them made me smile. I purchased them in Spring of 2007? or 2008? from Neiman Marcus in San Francisco. They also have closed back versions in black and white in patent leather from the same season with little curved tails too! They were a huge hit after that season and were created in silver and heeps of other colors and styles and materials.
@Loribeth: Thank you! I know it’s a pretty unique choice to wear but the fiance and I are a pretty fun and outgoing couple so I think it suits us well.

OMG those are so freaking cute! I don’t even like mice but these are adorable!

Personally, no. But its not my style of personality. I think if its yours, they are cute and go for it.

Nope. They are cute and I’m all for individual style, but these look more appropriate for a 5 year old’s birthday party. Not a wedding. Just my humble opinion!

Sorry no they are cute for maybe a child but not really for a grown up adult.

try to remember that no one cares about the bridal shoes except for the bride. Remember that you want to have fun so shoes must be comfortable……….a friend of mine wore Christian Louboutins and while her wedding is all over Style Me Pretty, she told me she was in pain the entire time.
Sorry to sound like a mom, I just want you to enjoy your wedding. While I never imagined someone would take a photo of the shoes I wore at our reception, I will never regret the comfort I felt on the dance floor 🙂
