Beautiful dress but it looks like it would be heavy. Depending on where your destination wedding is, it may not really work.

You don’t have to have a certain type of dress because it’s a destination wedding. Wear whatever dress you feel beauftiful in!

I say wear what you LOVE no matter where you wedding is. I think it’s beautiful!!

I’m wearing this one to my destination wedding in Hawaii.

Where’s your destination? If it’s a warm, tropical place, I kinda have to say that my first thought would be that this dress wouldn’t mesh the best with that sort of vibe. Hard to tell just by seeing the bare-bones dress though (without veil, accessories, you in it, etc.).

I think you can do whatever you want and are comfortable with!

@UpstateCait: I completely agree with you on this one.

I think the dress is gorgeous, but you’re going to be hot in the Caribbean, so you may want to choose a lighter material for the sake of comfort!

i think your dress is perfect. i am having a DM too and had a lot of trouble finding an “appropriate” dress. finally i listened to one of dress consultants who said not to let that influence me too much and that the contrast of fancy on beach actually looks amazing.

after that my only criteria was that i didn’t MELT in my dress!  but i didn’t get the “lightest” choice available here.

here is what i got.

oh and i am getting married in the Caribbean too.  i am, however, thinking about getting a second dress in case i do get too hot.  but i am determined to wear my dress the entire time because i am in love with it and i only get to wear it that one day!

I love your dress.  It’s so pretty, I think it’ll be a great dress for DW.  Are there crinolines or something under it, cause i might go with out that just because of heat.  Your jewelry sounds great with the dress.

I agree that you may get a little warm in it but if you love it you should wear it!

Its such a pretty dress, and I think it would go very nicely with a wedding in the caribbean, this coming from a caribbean girl herself.

The dress is just lovely. I think that this could work for a destination wedding. Are you getting married on the beach in the sand? Like a PP mentioned, you can also pull out the crinoline if it is too hot. I love the dress and I don’t think you should have to sacrifice your dream dress just because it is a destination wedding.
