So I just wanted to see if anybody else has had this "moment"…
We got engaged over Xmas this past year and we knew that we wanted to get married in September of this year, so I went to work right away with planning the wedding. So I’ve been in wedding-planning-mode lol.
So it seems like it is just now hitting me that I will be MARRIED in less than 6 months! It sounds crazy to me! lol. I have no doubts and love my fiance with every piece of my heart 🙂 Can’t wait to stand across from him and say those vows 🙂
It just seems surreal to me that after invisioning my wedding day since I was a little girl, its actually going to be happening!
So for the past week I have been like "wow, I’m going to be a Mrs." And that is always followed by a big goofy smile 🙂 lol.
Anybody else had that moment, like holy crap, I’m getting married?? lol

Haha, I definitely had those "holy crap!" moments. just wait until 3 months or 3 days out! the wow factor gets even bigger! Shoot, I’ve been married over three months and I’m STILL thinking "WOW! I’m a Mrs.! And I’m married to the most amazing man!". It just gets better 🙂

I totally understand, we moved our wedding up from December 2010 to May 2010, and that is still so far away, however that 7 month difference makes it seem like I’m getting married tomorrow! Good luck!

ha, I had that on March 20th. Since my FI lives in GA and I live in MO, it’s kind of like we know the wedding is happening but we don’t spend time going over things together and whatnot. I essentially feel like I’m planning a party for somebody else! ha. However, last weekend (literally on the 3-month-til-the-day-anniversary) we took a ton of pictures for centerpieces and it kinda hit us! We picked out our guest book together amongst some other things. Versus me just finding something I want online affordably, ordering it, and then putting it in my "wedding room" to await further assembly =]

I think it is so easy to get caught up in the planning of the big day that I sometimes forget what it all really means. THe reality check moments where you think "oh my gosh, we are actually getting married" are awesome : )
Still over 6 months out, but….wow!

Hi Soon2BMrsMcD – I’m in the SAME exact boat as you. We were engaged over the holidays and I knew I wanted a September wedding, so I got busy planning. (I’m the 4th!).
And when we hit the 6 month mark it was a big WOAH! But, it’s an amazing feeling all the same!

I have those moments all the time! Like today when I was getting ready I thought "In 3 months I will be with all my girlfriends on the beach and having the rehearsal that night!"
And I’m always thinking "this time next year we will be married!" Oh it’s so exciting!

Everytime I get all crazed about wedding planning, my FI will hold my hands and say "the most important thing is that this is about us getting married" and everytime he says it I get chills! Its my wow moment and I can’t wait to marry him!

Yes, I definitely did around the six month mark as well. It was when reality really set in. When I realized, yes, this is happening. Really cool moment.

Definitely! Everytime I log into my account on The Knot, the first thing I see is "DAYS TO GO: ##". My last "jeez-this-is-really-happening!" moment came the day it hit 100. It makes your heart race, doesn’t it? :o)
