So glad I started the wedding planning early. We’ve been having nothing but problems!
First venue was a dud due to the amount they wanted for catering.
Found a second venue. Perfect! Gazebo for ceremony, pavilion for reception.
Well, as it turns out, the gazebo [which is a small gazebo, not big enough for our guests to stand in], won’t let us put up a tent if it rains. [It always rains in october here].
But, searching around, I found THIS :
Holy good gracious! It’s gorgeous!

I love it! I hope it works out for you!

Only problems are is that it’s 14 minutes away from the hotel, and 16 minutes away from the reception venue.
[a little under 9 miles].
Is that too long of a drive?
We’ll have a party bus to take our guests from the hotel TO the ceremony, and then to the reception. But it’ll be reserved for guests who are staying at the hotel.

@jenilynevette: I don’t think that’s too far at all! It’s absolutely beautiful! I hope it works out for you!

Those drives aren’t long at all.

Thanks ladies! Going to contact them today and see about pricing!

Those drives are FINE! My ceremoney and reception location is 25 minutes from anywhere. We’ll get folks a shuttle if we need to. People have guests fly across continents for destination weddings, so come on! This place looks beautiful!

That is not too far at all! Is there enough parking in the park close to the pavillion for guests? That was one thing we saw a lot when looking at parks – the lots were small and/or far away from the ceremony location.
It’s beautiful 🙂

That’s gorgeous! And not at all too far–our sites are about 15 minutes apart and it’s fine.

Awesome! Glad to hear you ladies have a small drive as well. I’m trying to make it as easy as possible on my guests by having things close together.. hasn’t really panned out so well thus far!

@jenilynevette: Beautiful! I love gazebos. I don’t think that’s too long of a drive at all.

I don’t think that’s far at all. I had gone further for weddings and in between.
