You better start saving now!! LOL! Or make an agreement between you all not to exchange money/gifts since it's basically taking it out of one envelope and putting it into another. We've had friends who have done that before.

My gosh...is it a race to the altar or what? I agree with the PP, I would definitely come to an understanding that gifts wouldn't be exchanged since the weddings were so close together.

I'll second what bakerella: said!!! Either that, or agree to do less expensive and/or DIY gifts (like coasters or anything you can DIY).

Personally, I'd want to have my wedding NOT around someone elses because of that!!!  Not to mention the possibility that not everyone would be able to come to mine because they only had the funds to go to the other... or they don't go to any out of fairness.  (that would just TOTALLY suck, too).

It sounds like you started "a trend" in the family!!! LOL!  Take pride in the fact that you started it and enjoy it!

oh, and don't forget the adage: save the best for last! hehehehehe!

I know the feeling! We've had 2 other weddings this summer that were before ours, and there's 3 more coming up this fall (one of which I'm in)! Busy, busy, busy! Before all the weddings started happening, I was really stressed out about it, but it hasn't been too bad so far, just extra expenses.

Wishing you a positive experience with all the weddings! :)

We were invited to 4 weddings (besides our own) between May and September. I made it to 2 and FH went to 3. But yeah, expensive. And now ours is just around the corner (eek!).

Try this on for size- FI and I have one wedding the last weekend in August, and three weddings in three different states back to back to back in October (plus my birthday thrown into the middle of that month just for fun). Yikes!

I can empathize.  My mom is getting married this winter, my brother in May, and me in June.  And my little cousin is engaged and may get married the following winter.  When it rains, it pours.  We haven't had a wedding in my family for 10 years.

The nice this is, my mom and I are splitting the cost of some items that can be shared between our weddings.  I'd offer the same to my brother, but he is getting married a couple of states away.
