I’m a newbie here, but I’ve been lurking for awhile. I love these boards 🙂
So, I just went shopping TODAY for the first time…and…BOUGHT A DRESS! For anyone wondering…I chose Allure Couture C167.
I tried on about 10 and this was the only one that I really loved. I’m just in shock right now that I went shopping and bought a dress today.
I’m an indecisive person and I’m just freaking out that we bought a dress tonight. I feel like its such a big decision and I’m hoping I made the right one. I’m also wondering about the weight of the dress since I’m getting married in the summer (inside, so I should be ok?)
So what about you ladies, did you try on a lot of dresses or did you just know? Is it normal to second guess yourself a little bit after buying? (that seems to be my nature unfortunately!)
Any input is appreciated!

Congratulations on finding your dress! It is totally normal to feel a little doubt about the dress after buying. I just try to remember the incredible feeling of finding my dress when I begin to doubt. I also suggest not looking at any more dresses.

“I also suggest not looking at any more dresses”.
Ahh, this is going to be SO hard for me. I find myself browing dresses all the time, but I think that is excellent advice and something I need to follow. I said something about not looking at dresses anymroe at the bridal store and the lady helping me said “well, you don’t keep looking for a groom so why would you keep looking at dresses”. hahaha, so true!
Thanks Mszebra! I’m still just in dress shock or something lol

I bought my dress on the first day too. I found a dress I loved online and I couldn’t stop until I found it and tried it on. It was the first dress I tried on and the consultant pulled other dresses for me, but I couldn’t stop thinking that they weren’t even comparable to the first gown. Go with your gut! Every once in a while I wonder if I should have tried on even more styles and such, but I think that’s more just because I liked the experience of trying on dresses and seeing how they looked. Even now, when I browse dresses there are many that I think look stunning, but none I love as much as my own. 🙂
For the record, I’m an indecisive person too and I always need reassurance. lol

I’m so glad you posted this because I was thinking about this at work today. I am indecisive too…. so I think that @mszebra is right with the advice to stop looking at dresses.
I haven’t personally bought a dress yet so I may be way off 🙂 I just think that is what I’ll have to do so I don’t doubt myself! Goodluck!
