@MamaMegs721: that's a COCKTAIL RING! Gosh, it'd physically get in the way of doing anything! ahah
yep pretty sure little kids are ice skating on it...it was beautiful in the pic though!
@MamaMegs721: I'm just surprised the setting is so simple. I showed to to my FI and he said "well if you do a setting with more diamonds then its just obnoxious." Then?
what's wrong with rockin a huge rock? If you want to spend your money on things like that and you can afford to do so, more power to ya!
@mama- yess! i'd love to see that bling on an actual hand!
Yikes! That's waaaayyyy too big...I would never feel comfortable with that! Good for her, though!
I've never looked at that site before. There are some HUGE diamonds on there! Jeez!!
I would love to see that ring on someone's hand! Even though it's an I color, I'll bet it looks pretty white since the cut is Ideal. Kinda wonder about the clarity though as it's an SI1. I would almos rather have that other recently purchased round for 138K that is 3.41 carats but with an E color and VS1 clarity! I'm sure both rings are stunning.
@allergicbee: There's nothing wrong with it. Who said it was it bad?
A family friend of ours has a 12 ct emerald cut diamond ring. Her husband is on Forbes richest so no surprise really BUT when I saw this ring I was in shock she even let me try it on!! I used to have a pic on my phone but not anymore... Let me see if I can find it in my email somewhere... *off to search*
I didn't know you could search for recently sold rings on there...how do you do it? That sounds like fun!
Maybe I'm biased but I don't thing a ring get too big until 10ct or so
I think it's gorgeous!
Personally, I think less than 5ct. is best for an ering, but I would never turn that ring down if it was presented to me as one! I do think it's better off as a RHR, but then what would be the point because it would dwarf the ering on the other hand...
That's where I found my dream wedding band. It doesn't cost that much, but it's handgraved and beautiful. Sigh..
Maybe this is just me, but something just feels weird about spending ~90K on the internet... at once. Again, maybe that's just me.
Here are a few 100K+ Wowsa rings.... one is "disclosed" in price...

@mwitter80: Haha I have to say, I agree with you to a certain extent!! Gotta love bling!
When I was trying on e-rings (and eventually decided to design my own), I tried on a 6 ct cushion cut solitaire, perfect specs. It was gorgeous, but definitely not too large or cumbersome. Too each his/her own, I suppose!!!
@Ella1978: loved looking at those photos, thanks for sharing!
@MamaMegs721: I think the majority would have small diamond syndrome next to a rock like that!...lol...do you have pics posted of your ring?

So every once in awhile I like to look at Blue Nile for the recently purchased rings...geez...some purchased a 5.25 round brilliant for like 88K!! Wonder if she'll join the bee...I'd love to see what that looks like on the hand...
Now I have small diamond syndrome...
