I read about that somewhere but haven't actually seen any pictures of it done. Do you have any links to pics?? I think it's a cute idea but am not sure of how it'll really look (since silk ribbon is so flat... not sure if the dress will be too thick of a material). Thanks!
I am doing this for my bridal bouquet. I am using a piece of fabric from my mother and grandmothers wedding gowns. I took the fabric to my seamstress and had her make "ribbon" out of them and using those to wrap my flowers.

Hey Ladies,
Met with a florist last night who had a great idea. Instead of using just ribbon, she suggested using scrap fabric from dress alterations to wrap your flowers in. I thought this was an awesome idea and had to pass it along.
