I have continually had issues with wrinkle cream giving me pimples along where it goes on my face. I’ve been using ROC. I’m 27 and I’m starting to notice my crows feet and smile lines are getting deeper. I need recommendations that won’t cause pimples.
I usually have dry skin but my nose and T zone get shiny and red. My nose has been overly oily since my 27th birthday with blackheads. I don’t know why it’s happening but I have stopped using my tinted moisturizer in my nose and only use powder. I feel like I need makeover with all these annoying issues. 🙁
I’ve always used Ponds cold cream as a moisturizer but also have a St. Ives one that I use. I use organic coconut oil sometimes as well.

@GB520: I second the coconut oil.

@GB520: Wrinkles are caused by a decrease in collagen and it happens to all of us (just some later than others). You can remedy them with Botox but not with creams. Sorry. A cream will not fill in the area where the collagen was lost. Moisturizing your skin will make it healthier but if you are suffering from acne you need something lightweight and oil-free. I recommend Skyn Iceland The Antidote Quenching Daily Lotion. It’s the only moisturizer that doesn’t aggravate my very stubborn acne. Creams that are labelled as wrinkle reducers tend to be very thick and clog pores.

@GB520: I had the same problem. Until I started using Lancome Visionnaire. It’s kinda pricey, but I LOVE it.

@GB520: Anything that causes pimples is just to rich for your skin, my SO is the big skin care guy he just started buying me creams and stuff saying use this (i think its called murad or something like that its great) … no zits for me and the past few years i have been getting them
I would suggest that but that being said everyones skin is different just b.c. something is to rich for you does not mean it is for me so what i suggest might not be an good for you at all good luck though

Have you checked the ingredients? Ever since I read this, http://weddings.gatheringguide.com/ac/wedding-hair-makeup/put-your-best-face-forward-with-non-toxic-makeup I’ve been checking my makeup ingredients carefully. The pimples you’re talking about could be your skin’s reaction to a specific chemical.

I forgot to add that I had a bad reaction to certain retinol it burned really bad. I guess my skin is also sensitive. =/I’ve had to throw stuff away sometimes. It sucks after you spend $20+ so I try to take advantage of the samples at sephora and ulta. Thanks for the suggestions.

@Aquaria: Creams with Retinol will actually help fine lines and age spots…so you don’t need to just go the botox route.
That being said, I have just started using Neutrogena Ageless Intensives Anti-wrinkle Deep Wrinkle Night Moisturizer. I ALWAYS break out with most moisturizers, let alone a wrinkle cream, but I have found that this cream has actually improved my face dramatically.
During the day, I use Arbonne’s FC5 Night cream, as my skin is pretty dry.
I personally put coconut oil in my hair for treatments, but I always find that it gives me acne..so who knows. Everything works for somone.
