So I am turning to you bees in hopes for a little advice, tips, guidance, etc.
Our marketing department is going to be doing a newsletter for our employees since we are spread around the world. They have requested to feature me as I am out company’s HR rep for the first newsletter.
They want me to send them a write up on myself. What would you include in a company newsletter about yourself.

Aside from the usual bio stuff–like where you went to school, what you studied, and where you grew up (if it’s unusual)–I’d include any interesting jobs or volunteer experiences you’ve had, and maybe some other interesting thing that rounds your story out. For example, have you traveled to every country in Asia? Won first prize in a baking contest? Something benign and company-safe like that, but that people would not normally know about you by working with you.

The people are your company want to see a real person, especially if you’re in HR and are in the business of working with people.
I agree with stillme about all of those ideas. Additionally, do you have any hobbies that others might be interested in? Any recent goals (training to run a 5K, just as an example), etc?
