Sooo I’m writing a cover letter for a job opening (fingers crossed!) and in the job description this pops up Resume and employment inquiries must include both, salary history and expectations in order to be considered.
I’ve got the salary expectations covered… now I’m just trying to figure out how to word what my salary was with the military. Right now I have “My previous employment with the United States Navy earned me an approximate annual income of $XXXXXX” Is that how I should word it? The reason I ask that is my base pay was like 10k less than that, but my take home pay was more due to flight pay, BAH, and BAS… Should I word it and instead say “…approximate anual income, plus benefits and flight pay, of $XXXX” ack. I hate this. I hate writing…. should I take out the word approximate????
