I'd say buy a test roll of ribbon and some of those fine tipped sharpies and try those, or else maybe fabric pens? I'd be afraid of bleed and smearing, depending on the type of ribbon - thus a test roll! Make sure it's the same kind you want to use :)
If nothing else works, what about that iron-on transfer paper you can buy? I wonder if that would work for ribbons?
Fabric pens baby!! I would probably go with a metallic glittery pen to see if that works as well...
Fabric pens! Didn't think of that! Hmmm...i'm gonna have to start some researching!
You could also buy one of those a-z sets of stamps and then use pigment ink or something and stamp it on.

Hey Bees! I'm thinking of incorportaing some ribbon to my BM's purses, and writing a quote from each of their favourite books on the ribbon (our wedding has a bit of a book theme to it!).
Anyone have any suggestions or past experience with writing on ribbon?
