I made my own save the dates on hobby lobby cardstock. I coffee dyed them, and used rubber stamps to make a postcard look. I’m looking for something to write the message with. Permament marker bleeds through, I tested it out on a blank card. So does anyone have a suggestion as to what type of pen/marker to use? Preferably something brown. I don’t really like the look of a ball point pen, it just doesn’t really match and doesn’t look bold enough.

I would use a calligraphy marker (doesn’t have to be a nice pen). Even if you don’t KNOW calligraphy, if you hold it at the 45 degree angle you are supposed to, just writing regular penmanship with them makes things look nicer.
Something like this (they sell them in all the craft stores)

MsJ2theZ: Oh how fancy! That’s nice, I don’t have awesome girly handwriting so anything that would help hide that would be good. Thanks for the link!

You might try a grease pencil. It is either a brilliant idea, or a terrible one, I expect. Be sure to test on scraps, if you try it.
