I used Mrs Cherry Pie's ceremony as my guideline!! It was exactly what i was looking for so I just changed things around, added my personal elements and took out things that didnt apply to me or I didnt feel fit with our vision!
Take a look at Mrs. Cherry Pie's blog post about writing her ceremony. It may help you.

I second The Wedding Ceremony Planner. I just wrote our ceremony (minus the vows, since we're each doing our own) last week, and I was able to cut and paste the pieces I liked best into a cohesive ceremony. The great thing about this book is it gives you complete ceremonies and also a range of variations for each section of the ceremony. It made the process far less painless than I had anticipated. And, yes, it does cover both religious and secular options.
I found this webpage to be useful: http://www.rockies.net/~spirit/sermons/wedding-vows.php
I also searched online for other peoples ceremonies and used those as a framework.
I used the Wedding Ceremony Planner too. I loved that it had a layout/order and then a lot of examples. We took bits and pieces from all over the place to make our ceremony. It was a great experience, and I'm sooo glad we decided to do it.
You might want to check out the sample ceremony repository over on Kvetch.
Searched and found bits and pieces that we loved, and added some of our own words. I sent it to our Officiant yesterday and she LOVES IT!
I Google'd the mess out of 'Celebrity Wedding Ceremony' 'Ceremony Wording' 'Christian Ceremony' 'Wedding Vows' and found a lot of unique options that I really liked from each part of the ceremony, then I cut and pasted those bad boys together and now I'm putting the finishing touches on the transitions and the flow, simple grammar adjustments, good luck!

For those of you writing your own ceremony how on earth did you even begin this process? I am utterly terrified of screwing this up.... (don't ask me why because I have no idea lol. Logically I know that we can't really screw it up if we are making it our own lol). We want it to reflect that we are Christians and we want God to bless our marriage but we also don't necessarily want it to be a traditional religious ceremony. We are having a friend perform the ceremony so we're trying to write it out the way we want it..... Do any of you have any tips? What did you use as a guideline ? Are there any resources out there that you have found to be especially helpful? I'm finding tons of website but I'm not sure which ones are really a good source of information.... Thanks ladies!
