Fiance and I are not religious. We are not against any religion, we just chose not to pick one. So I am writing our cerermony. I thought it would be so much easier than it is!! We decided to pull the parts we like from all different types of ceremonies. Rather than doing a sand jar, we are chosing to do a hand fasting.
One thing I am totally lost on is my children. He is not their dad. Their Dad is still present in their life. He and I are civil about 90% of the time. Fiance has been a part of their lives since they were 18 months and 3. (they are now 7 and 9). I would like to write vows for the kids to say to us and for us to say to them. IN ADDITION to our vows to each other. I would let them read them. I would have them read them several times in the weeks leading up to the ceremony so they are comfortable with it. Father-In-Law (who they are close with and adore,) will be the officiant so they have all 3 of us there if they get nervous)
What do you think? Yay? Nay?
Where would I find wording for something like this???
