I’m getting down to the wire and my veil from etsy just came in. I had ordred swatches from the seller a couple of months ago so I could pick the correct color, and ordered it – but they sent a different color.
Now, to be honest, there’s not a huge amount of difference between what I picked (Light Ivory) and what was sent (I think Off White or Diamond White). In fact, I was almost considering the lighter color, but then noticed that the Light Ivory was truly the best color match for my dress. So I did consider my decision carefully.
The seller offered to ship the correct color veil asap, but I’m going out of town and if I miss it, it could get stolen off my porch. I purposely made sure nothing was going to be coming in the mail at this time. I was also planning to bring it with me to my trip (cross country) so I could hang it and it would be ready for my wedding which is there in a few weeks time. I’ll only be back here for a few days before heading back to that coast.
I’m hesitant to have her send it also because that may mean I’ll have to pack up and send what I have back to her asap, and also pay the shipping costs. And TBH, I’m just exhausted and overwhelemed, and the idea of adding one more thing -that could potentially go wrong – because of this mix up sounds awful. But also just settling for the mistake I was sent doesn’t seem like the thing to do either.
Advice/ opinions?? What would you do?
