You can do it!! Join Weight Watchers or sign up with MyFitnessPal… getting into a “community” of people who can support you will make all the difference. Are you a gym member? Sometimes knowing that my money is being spent and not really USED is a good motivator for me to actually GET there 😉

@futuremrs1986:  I was totally in the same boat. When my dress came in and it fit like a glove, I slacked big time. Then, I took a photo of myself in the bikini I want to wear on our honeymoon and put it up around the house to remind myself that it’s not just the dress I want to look sexy in.

Guitars are everywhere in our house.  As well as all of the recording equipment, amps, cords, cables, etc.  I’m so proud of his talents as a musician but I wish that it was not such an eyesore!!!

@futuremrs1986:  Do an at home fitness tape or wii fit or a zumba game or a just dance game. I needed all sorts of motivation and a carnival costume gave me just what i needed… now im about to start a diet and Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. then Im going to do the Fit in 30 free workout on youtube… you gotta start somewhere so for you, put down the CARBS!

@Swizzle:  I literally lol’d at this.  My fiance threatens to put dead animals on our walls all the time!

My FI is a homebrewer as well.  He hasn’t brewed any since we bought our house in September, but we are always collecting beer bottles and currently store them above our washer & dryer.  They don’t get in the way right now… but I can see it becoming a problem in the future.  Our laundry ‘nook’ is right off the kitchen so it’s not completely hidden, but not much of an eyesore (for now).

It’s not his hobby…..it’s his job. My FI is a design engineer at a sunglass company and there is this HUGE METAL SUNGLASSES CASE IN MY LIVING ROOM!!

Don’t get me wrong…I own like a million pairs of sunglasses (obviously so does he), but seriously????…..does it have to go in our living room??? It so doesn’t match anything else.

I try not to look at it. Ever.

@futuremrs1986:  Ack, I wish working out was easier.. although I suppose if it was, everyone would have great bodies and it wouldn’t be such a big deal! 
I have found that if you just get up and workout and don’t think about it, you’ll do it. But if you give your brain ANY chance to have an excuse, you won’t workout.

What motivates me is thinking about all the pictures I’ll have to look back on. Shallow, I know, but I love taking and having photos (of everything!) so I just want to be happy with what I see. Try to go at least once a week and reward yourself with a treat afterwards, then build yourself up slowly! 🙂

@futuremrs1986:  7 months out and currently eating a handful of M&Ms. I could cut myself some slack if I was closer to my goal weight but I’m THIRTY POUNDS AWAY from it. fml.

futuremrs1986:  I feel you! I am definitely struggling with healthy eating. I do not lose weighti if I exercise, just eating. Can we coach each other???

i agree with mrsaxachef at home workout videos are the way to go.  I have done a bunch and they have never disappointed me with the outcome.  Not sure if you have tried any of the Beachbody products (makers of p90x) but they have a bunch of great at home workouts to choose from.  My favorite program so far has been Focus T25 but I have heard great things about the other programs as well!
