My BF for the last three days, in the middle of the night, has said some of the following things:

You're the best girlfriend I've ever had.  I am so lucky to have you.

I love you so much, thank you for everything.

I'm sorry I didn't kiss you goodbye, you do so much for me.

WTH?  BF does talk in his sleep. but he was actually awake and saying these things (I'm a light sleeper).  Weird and very out of character.  Normally he will be really cute and say this stuff, but now he has a serious tone.

My boy gets like this sometimes. He gets so serious and so mushy and it's really startling because he's normally so calm. I tease him and tell him it's like he's just NOW realizing how much he loves me, even though he said I love you first!

Are you sure he was awake? That sounds like dream talking!

Are you sure he was awake?

My FI talks very loudly in his sleep and goes on and on sometimes. He also laughs out loud. Sometimes he has nightmares and jumps out of bed yelling. It's always an adventure ;-) I'm a light sleeper too but now I just roll over and say, "It's okay, honey. You're dreaming." One morning I woke up and went out to the garage for something and a pillow was on the hood of my car. I asked him what it was about. He remembered having a dream about his pillow being covered in ants. He had been sleepwalking all the way across the house and threw the pillow into the garage!

that's funny. it's great that he's thinking (and saying!) this to you, even if you think it might be sleep talking. my boyfriend is not the best at expressing his emotions, i'd probably think something was up if he started saying that kind of stuff at all!

I actually think he was awake.  He coherently remembers this when I ask him about it and says he was just "letting me know".  Makes me a little concerned.  Hopefully everything's ok!

Does he know you hear him?  Maybe he's whispering these because he thinks you're asleep.

HAHA My fiance does wierd shit in his sleep too. It happens more frequently when he's stressed and has something on his mind. It makes it entertaining for sure! I do the same "it's fine honey, go back to sleep" and he always gets so MAD at me for trying to calm him down. He told me last night that I shouldn't stop him from trying to keep the iron from falling onto my head (WTF- the iron is in the laundry room). Funny boy.

My FI talks in his sleep and sometimes says things that are very sincere or sometimes sad but he says doesn't remember later on.

He is also a night groper, but that is another story.

Ha ha... I'd start humming, "I hear the secrets that you keep, when you're talking in your sleep..." but that's justme. :P

I do this to R sometimes. I wake up constantly in the middle of the night, and sometimes I can't get back to sleep for a little bit, and so I just think for a little bit. One time I specifically woke him up for a kiss! Just because I got lonely and he was right there. I don't know why, but sometimes when I'm in sleepy mode, but not actually asleep, I get this urgent need to kiss R or tell him how much I love him. I think part of it is because my family has some of the worst luck with horrible things happening to our family members... it's taught me never to take a moment for granted!

Oh one of the funniest sleep-talking he did was leave a long, very detailed "voicemail" for an imaginary client including multiple forms of contacting him back.  I was extremely amused by this.

@ IA Snowflake He did admit he had thought I was "asleep" when he apologized for not kissing me goodbye - when he said "I'm sorry" and I was like, "For what?" he actually got miffed.

its the opposite with us. I walk and talk in my sleep. LOL
It freaks him out sometimes. i will wake up yeliing or gasping for air and he will get all worried. SO CUTE! LOL

You know they say its your subconcious(sp?) talking when you sleep talk.....

Haha, if it's really your subconscious, then mine is totally nuts. Sometimes when I'm falling asleep I start dreaming before I'm fully asleep and start talking. I've talked about squirrels, baseball (which I don't even like) etc.

One time I said, "He's watching us you know." Mr Spin, humoring the sleep talker, asked "Who is?" "The man with the one red eye. He sees all." Yeah. Creeped the hell out of Mr Spin with that one, believe you me. ^_^

But then, over the weekend Mr Spin had a dream that he needed to steer something by using my big toe and I woke up because he was turned around in bed yanking on my toe.

@mmmtacos: Maybe he's feeling lovey-dovey and vulnerable at night in bed and is thinking out loud about how much he loves you?

My little boy sometimes does this.  I'll be coming in his room to sneak newly cleaned shirts into his closet after he's in bed or some t shirts or something into some of his drawers, and I'll hear him having a conversation.  It's hilarious.

Once my son was talking to Optimus Prime from the transformers..seriously funny!

I wish my bf would talk to me in his sleep....I think it would be hilarious to hear the silly things he would come up with!  Instead, all I get to hear is his snoring!!

Sometimes I've talked to my husband when he's asleep before.  But there's no way he would hear it because he's the heaviest sleeper in the WORLD!  It probably doesn't mean anything other than he was thinking something and he really wanted to tell you.

This is funny... my sister and I have woken up talking to each other in our sleep when we share a hotel room. We'll be having a full out conversation, but be asleep!
