Hello everyone! This is my first married post lol (although I’ve been married just over a year now)
I am standing up in a wedding and just picked up my dress the other day. It is Wtoo Dress 915, the material is crinkle chiffon.
My sister and I both got measured on the same day and ordered the same size. When they came in and we tried them on they BOTH wouldnt zip up. Probably about an inch at the top. After the seamstresses were VERY rude to us (“you MUST have gained weight”…both of us?! um no, I’ve actually lost weight since we first got measured) They let out both dresses as “much as they could” Now that we have them, only ONE of them zips up on both of us (even though the alterations were exactly the same) and the one that zips is way too big in the bust! The other the zipper is stuck in the same place. There is plenty of material to close the dress but we just cant get the zipper to pull up (and it is even difficult to pull up with the dress on the hanger) I am thinking that neither dress needed to be let out (since now the dress that zips is too big) and the zipper is just screwy on these dresses.
Has anyone else seen this in any of these dresses? Either the same dress or similar in this brand? Maybe I am just crazy? We are taking them to a friend who’s mom is a seamstress today to look at the zippers. Just curious to know if this is just random or if anyone else has had this happen!

I have to say, I’m not a fan of Wtoo BM dresses! I am a street size 8/10. Have a larger bust, so I ended up ordering a 14 Wtoo dress for a wedding last fall. That should have made me fit right in the chest but be way too big elsewhere. When I got it, it didn’t even zip!! I had to have it taken out (even after I lost about 8lbs between getting the dress and the first fitting). Their sizes are totally whack!! Luckily I got a good seamstress, but aside from killing my self esteem, I paid a fortune between the dress itself and the alterations.
I also had zipper problems… I will never make my BW wear Wtoo dresses lol

@MSbride2Bee Glad I’m not the only one! My sister and I took the dresses to a friend to get fixed and they both zipped up! (even though the zipper is still miserable to get up!) maybe after trying to get into it and working the zipper over the last couple days it made it easier to get on? lol I’m just glad they frickin zip up now! It was totally a self esteem killer!

Can’t speak much about the designer, but I can say that the exact same thing happened to my sister for my wedding. She is super petite and ordered the smallest size available, as recommended by the bridal shop. When she tried the dress on, it was loose in the bust but wouldn’t zip all the way up! She does have a wide back…maybe that was it?
Her seamstress was able to let it out as much as possible and reconstruct it to make it work….if not, we would’ve had to purchase extra fabric to make a panel in the back. Don’t know if this would be an option for you??
Find another seamstress if this one isn’t willing to work with you…way too stressful (not to mention the $$ you’re shelling out).

I’m fairly certain that most bridal clothing companies enjoy watching brides and bridesmaids stuggle with ill fitting dresses- if they fit perfectly then stores wouldn’t get to charge loads of money for alterations! But Watters in gerenal just seems to be awful- it makes me feel a little better that I’m not the only one to expereince this.
