Okay, this is probably going to be long and I feel like a crazy bride, buuut…
I tried on the Wtoo Vannessa at a local bridal salon and it was a good 10 sizes too big… Because of the style of the dress, I couldn’t really tell what it actually looked like on me but I loved everything else about it. Because said bridal salon has a monopoly on the Wtoo Vannessa in my city, the price was super high. Like weirdly high. Anyways, I ordered it from bestbridalprices.com and it arrived today… two months early! It’s definitely the real dress from wtoo, not a knockoff.
When I put in my order, FI took my measurements and I corresponded with a size 0. Sounded small but I ordered it anyways. I took it out of the bag and tried it on today and I feel like it fits very poorly. It almost seems like they make the size 0 to fit a very short person. I’m 5’5 so not uber tall, but the bodice is so short on the dress that it seems like the portion that should fit around the hips sits at my midsection. The length is perfect, which is strange considering my height. If I undo the back button at the top so the dress can slide down to where it’s supposed to, it seems to look much better.
I still feel the dress is a bit big in areas and very poorly fit. Is this something that can be altered? I feel very scared an alteration person is going to say it can’t be done and that the bodice is simply too short. Enough with the bride crazies, here are the pictures! Advice?
Pictures won’t post! I will try in another post.

Better fitting front once I unbuttoned the top button:

It looks like the preportions are correct and that it is just too big! (WTOO runs larger, I believe) I dont think that a seamstress will have any trouble taking it in for you as it has some visable seams in appropriate places! I can totally see how stunning that dress is going to look on you when it is properly fitted to your body! Congrats on finding your dress, I think its beautiful on you!

It looks great! From what I can see, I should think it’s nothing a seamstress can’t fix 🙂

Yeah, I agree, it looks like it’s just too big on you and a seamstress will fix you up, no problem! It’s a beautiful dress! 🙂

Looks like a little tweaking by a seamstress can fix everything you’re worried about! I think you’ll look beautiful in it! And I think you already DO look beautiful in it!

I agree, a little alterations tweaking will make it fit perfectly! Be sure to go to a reputable wedding dress seamstress.

Oh, that’s a beautiful dress. You should get it fixed by a seamstress with no worries at all. It doesn’t look like it even needs major alterations. Let us know how it goes.
