my FH and I joined Weight Watchers together about 3 weeks ago. I LOVE to cook and have since then started cooking WW food and their recipes that they have online. We are going to Jamaica in April to start planning our wedding and this diet experience is making us so much closer. We talk all day long about how many points weve used so far and what we are doign for dinner. I absolutely love it.

We both encourage each other and find new and cool recipes/ideas and share them. Its like we are a team and we are losing weight together. One more thing to add to the list of things we are accomplishing together. this diet is making us bond closer and makes me even more thankful that he will be the one I marry :)

Anyone else bonding with their loves over food or lack of food :)

That's so awesome! I am TRYING to get DH on board with me. He eats what I cook, so I just cook healthy. On days I make tofu, he gets somethign else.

But i hate how much he eats out/gets fast food!

Just think about how, if you're both healthier, how many extra years it'll add to your life to spend together =]

ejs-you could always put a small container of whatever you cook from the night before for his lunch :) thats what I do.

Whatever I cook the night before, I put a small container aside and 100 cal snack and a diet soda and he is good to go! :) He doesnt need fast food if he has good food to eat :)

Yeah, but he stays home all day (got home from the army, no job yet) so even if I set it aside, he wouldn't eat it.

He eats out with his sister/mom when he has lunch with them every week or on the way back from his gparents house. He gets antsy at home 7 days a week =\.

Plus he thinks my food is weird--I did get him to try spaghetti squash and he no likely.

That is so freakin awesome!  I love it.  My FI and I have vastly different fitness/health goals so it actually polarizes us!  Lol.  See, I'm all about going to the gym and eating healthy so I can LOSE weight... he's trying to gain it.  I can't stand it!  Hahaha, its just not fair.  He wants muscle, I want less jiggly areas.  He's concerned with eating lots of proteins, I just want to eat low cal, healthy food.  I end up either cooking 2 different meals, or just tell him he's on his own.

ejs- lol that is hilarious. Guys are so picky about food. Thankfully, mine will eat almost anything I put in front of him. (prolly why we both gained so much weight :)

Jennifer- Weight is such an issue. either its not enough or too much. Cant ever just be perfect ugh. lol.

DH & I follow it together. We have to do it together or else we wouldn't do as well. He has 50-60 pounds to lose and I have at least another 50 to go.
