I payed $40, followed all the rules, drank 64oz of water every day, didn’t eat my favorite fast foods, ate in my points range, had some weekly points left over, tracked everything, and I
GAINED A POUND!!!!!
I could have eaten the way I was before and maintained my weight, I;m only 20lbs over my ideal- but I’ve maintained my weight for years and never payed attention to what I was eating. Now when I’m eating fruit, veggies, fish and chicken I gain a freaking pound?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I’ve giving this plan 3 more weeks and If I keep gaining I;m looking for something else.
Ugh, I don’t even know what I did wrong

You didn’t do anything wrong! Give it time. If you’re drinking more water than usual, it’s probably water retention.

Okay, That SUCKS! How incredibly frustrating!
Don’t give up. If you stick to it, you will see results. Don’t forget to add some activity in there. If it is still a problem next week, talk to your meeting leader. She will help you! Make sure you have your tracker with you to show and she can help you highlight some problem areas.
Also, if it is your TOM, or a few days around then, that could be it too.

I’m miserable that I didn’t lose anything. ANYTHING….I’m fatter now on WW–what is that? I just want to say Fudge it and go get a cheeseburger.

Wait, don’t quit just yet. Have you been exercising? If so you may have gained muscle. Plus, if you’ve been drinking water like crazy, that weighs something too.
My scales are able to tell me body fat%, water %, muscle % etc, so unless the WW ones have those, then you can’t say you’re fatter now.
Give it a least a month. There are so many of us trying to lose weight and I can really feel your pain! Trust me though, giving up now isn’t going to make you feel any better.

So bees, after almost blowing it I calmed down and listened to reason. My BMI is 24, but only just. My SO said that perhaps losing the last 20 of what he calls “vanity pounds” might require some hard work. So I looked over what i ate last week and am goin to switch it up.
No more diet soda- switched to diet green tea. It has way less sodium.
Very little fruit- if I need a quick 0 point snack I have lots of veggies.
Eat my biggest meal at lunchtime
Track my calories to make sure I’m getting in about 1600-1900 a day
Next week if I don’t gain or lose, I’ll add more exersize
If I still gain I might rethink WW. Perhaps it’s not for me.

@Luckygal5571: Weight watchers does work. But it can take a few weeks to see results. I know how frustrating it is. I feel like if I am eating healthy and working out, then the weight should fall off!! But that doesn’t ever happen 🙁
My suggestion is the play around with the flex points, and for sure eat your daily points. Try eating just a few of the extra points, and another week eat all of them. See how your body reacts.
Are you tracking inches? Sometimes you loose inches before you see the scale move at all.
How much fruit are you eating? I know for me it was tempting to eat 10 pieces a day, since it’s “free” points. But now I stick to 2-3 pieces a day.
Good luck! 🙂

@Luckygal5571: Switch to regular green tea made from the bags. Make a picture of it. If you like it sweetened try one of the berry green tea bags- no added sugar or chemicals though.
Anything diet- soda or otherwise- isnt helping you and in fact could be a hinderance to your weight loss goals.
Also. this is a good read about the scale and why it can lie. I would take measurements as well as following your weight.

@Luckygal5571: Any better results?

you may not be eating sufficient fat…ww is notoriously low fat. I would go mad on that kind of diet (and i’m 5’4/120)
