Did you show the seamstress this picture? I really would go back and show them! You’re paying for a service and you should recieve that service 100% to your satisfaction.

If they’re not willing to fix it for you, I’d go somewhere else!

I would definitely be persistent w/ the store until they fixed it. It’s unacceptable that you don’t think the dress fits quite right, if there is loose material then they should be able to fix it. I hate when salespeople try to tell you that something looks good when you don’t feel like it’s perfect and you should feel absolutely perfect in your wedding gown!

Ask if you can speak w/ the seamstress to show her which part is bothering you.

@FarleyNish:  I would follow up the email with a call just to let them know that this is serious business here! I don’t think you’re making a stink! You just have to be polite and direct, because this is a special day for you and you want to feel amazing!

Ummm yeah I can see what you mean. I think you are more than entitled to get them to sort it out, after all, it is your wedding dress, you are meant to feel a million bucks, you don’t want to be worrying about your imaginary belly on your big day! Get them to do the job you are paying them for!

@FarleyNish:  you need to be talking to the SEAMSTRESS directly about these issues… the sales people are not the ones who do the alterations.. and honestly not all of them know what can and cant be done.

Set an appointment up with the alterations directly

@FarleyNish:  I would demand that the seamstress pin the dress or take it somewhere else better for fittings. You have no time to waste!!!! Why the f do they have a saleswoman pinning your dress??? That’s ridiculous!

This is my dress too and honestly from the side mine gives me a stomach pouch as well.  I never noticed it until you pointed it out. Maybe it’s due to the rouching of the fabric.  I’ve looked at pictures from the front and it is not noticeable.  I didn’t have any alterations done to my dress besides adding a bustle.

Not sure if this helps you or not but thought I would share.

@FarleyNish:  I do see what you mean with the picture from the front.  The sample does appear a lot smoother and more form fitting. It does appear to be too big in the stomach area on you. You have to be comfortable on your wedding day and don’t want to be self conscious.  I would definitely discuss this the seamstress.  You can use my pictures if you find them helpful as a reference to show the seamstress.
