Can someone explain the Xyron to me? Does it turn plain paper into labels???

It does ~ it comes in different sizes to either make little tiny stickers out of cut outs or make larger stickers ~ layering cardstocks etc.

There are a ton of permanent tape methods, I prefer an ATG gun.  While it is a larger investment on the front end, the supplies are more affordable and because it is a large tape gun, there is not limit to the size you can use.

I have one of the mini ones and have used it for years when I'm scrapbooking.  I send my little letters and trim through it, and it comes out a sticker!

If you were to buy one of the larger ones you could attach invitations to backing, or run address labels through....or make a return address label in any shape you want and stick it on the back of your envelope.

Lots of uses for one!! I love my little mini one, and I'd like to buy a bigger one eventually.  I believe there are different cartridges too to make magnets and laminate things, etc.

I have both the large (9") and small (I think it's 1.5")...I have to say I use the small one quite a bit for everyday scrapbooking, but for wedding stationary I used the 9" a lot! I love the fact that you get adhesive all of the way to the edge, compared to trying to use an adhesive runner on the thicker spots, not getting right to the edge. I bought the large one at JoAnn's for 40 or 50% off, and also bought a roll of the lamination (and you can also buy rolls of magnet - and the adhesive comes in permanent or repositionable).

Since I've finished with wedding stuff, I've still found uses for it, and imagine it will come in handy when I have kids with school projects! I think the large was an expensive but good investment! (oh, and if you have a cricut and are cutting out intricate designs, this is pretty much the only way in my opinion that you can get a good adhesive coverage!)
