..We picked our wedding date for two reasons, first because its the day my grandparents were wed. fh and my grandma r close and i have made a frame with an old blk/white picture of them in it. and come to find out it is all so the day the bestman got married, we have a surprise for him and his wife. we r going to call them to the dance floor to share a dance all their own.
second because our venue is weaving almost all toughs ridicules fee like the cake fee & the cork fee plus a few extras because we are getting married on a Wednesday.
so i was just wondering y you picked ur wedding date?.

We picked ours because I’m a teacher and we wanted to have our wedding during the summer when things are virtually stress-free for me at work; his work can give him the time off whenever he needs it. We also picked this date because it doesn’t conflict with graduations, other weddings of people we know, etc. and because our venue was open. Sorry I don’t have a more meaningful reason. 🙂 lol

We picked ours because it was a date the venue had open, was a Saturday, was a month that was an option for us (not too hot/not too cold), and fell on our dating and engagement anniversary ‘day’.

We love a bargain so we wanted to do it on the off season and i wanted a winterish theme so November it is. November is not technically winter but since the wedding is in Ohio and a lot of our guest are comming from NYC we wanted to be sure there would be very little chance of travel problems due to snow. Plus now we have more than enough time to save for the kind of event we want

- Wedding: October 2011 - Tre Bella, Mesa, AZ
We’re still deciding on a venue, so the Oct. 22 date isn’t set in stone. It’s based on what Sat. is available and has better pricing in Oct/Nov of this year. We’re pragmatic like that; who needs romance? 😉

its our dating anniversary. we were thinking a summer wedding and our anniversary just happened to be in that window, so we picked it.

We wanted a summer wedding. We would have taken any Saturday night in June, July, or August. All of them were taken at our venue. We preferred June to July and August, so we took the only available June Sunday left at our venue.

It is basically the soonest we can get married after he gets done with his Marine Corp training

Well, Fi is graduating Law School in May and taking the Bar in June, so we wanted to give him a few months after that to prepare and get a job. Also, I wanted to include Thanksgiving as part of my honeymoon so that is two days off I don’t need to ask for at work. It also gave us a year to prepare/pay. As an added bonus, it’s just after Hurricane season ends. Weather should be great!

We picked ours because first and foremost, FI said we were not allowed to have a fall wedding b/c of football season. We’ve been to MANY weddings in the fall and FI and his friends always complain b/c they have to miss whatever college game is on. We didn’t want summer because we both don’t like the potential for it to be really hot and uncomfortable (plus we got engaged last Feb and didn’t want our engagement to be much more than a year). Finally, winter wedding in Ohio really isn’t our cup of tea. Spring is great! Plus, since we’re still in April, we’re technically during the wedding off-season, even if it’s just by 1 day!

It was the only date our venue had open during our time frame.

I picked mine in October because it’s one of my favorite months:
- Not too cold or hot
- Hockey season starts
- Love the fall colors
The date 13:
The year 2012:
- So I have enough time to save and plan

I knew I wanted an outdoor wedding, so it pretty much had to be late spring/summer. Our venue only does a dozen or so weddings a year, so space fills up fast. We went with one of the few dates that were still available, 16 months in advance!

We picked ours because it was the first “off-season” weekend according to some vendors, we got our venue at a good rate for our date and judging by the weather over the last couple of years the first weekend in October was pretty rain free! We also had to have it at the beginning of October because one of my bridesmaids was getting married at the end of October so we had to keep it spaced out enough.
