@artwyopie: ohhhhh!!! tooo cool!!! Have you started on anything yet? lol. I've got a blog that I'm trying to use as a kind of diary and diy thing for all-things fantasy-wedding related.
@Zinzerena: not really. I actually went into david's bridal the other day with my fi to look at swatches and a got super nervous. ( I was shaking just thinking about looking at wedding dresses) lol i think that I'll make a folder or something to help me keep everything together.
I've read a post about your wedding. - non traditional brides? i think! YOUr WEDDING SOUNDS AMAZING! it sounds like it will be a blast.
@artwyopie: thanks!!! we're hoping it will be! lol. I lucked out and have a wedding gown that was given to me (long story) that I'll be wearing with an underbust corset (black and silver brocade - I've been drooling over it for more than a year now, lol) if it doesn't rain. if it does, well, I'll be wearing the gown that I'd be wearing for the reception! LOL! but I'll have photos of me in the actual wedding gown for the family who will NOT approve of my non-traditional gown, lol.
I've gotta make a post on my blog about my "wedding planner". I took an avery 1/2" binder (it was the only one free I had) and using the tabbed dividers began my own planner.

I'm finally officially engaged and an (I think) April 2012 bride too! We are thinking Easter :) Any other Easter brides?!
Hi!!! We haven´t set the date officially yet, but we´re talking about doing an Easter wedding!!! It would be most convenient for my FIs family. I am a little concerned, but no one in my family is super religious so it should not be a problem, and his family has vacation that week so it will be an easy trip. I want to confirm it soon so we can start planning and book a venue.........!!! Have you girls done anything yet like book a venue or anything?
@killerpenguins05: Do you *gasp* attend Clemson? :P I grew up in Columbia and we are actually considering having our wedding in Georgetown. It's so much cheaper than in Baltimore!

Hey Gals, I used to be a June bride but my date is official set in stone for April 27th, 2012 :-) im sooo excited!!!!
We just set the date officially to April 21st! How's everyone doing? Things moving along okay?
Our date is April 14, 2012! I'm trying to pace myself so that I don't get everything planned and finished in the next month, and then I have months of anticipation until the big day!
Hey there date twin! I know what you mean about not planning everything right away. I run a website that I sell wedding decor and other items and so I have been going crazy making new things for samples and I am worried that I will keep changing my mind on what I want to do. I am doing a lot of DIY so thank god we have plenty of time! Have you decided on colors yet?

Our big day is set for April 1, 2012! April Fools Day, and no, we are not kidding! :P We were initially aiming for Nov. 2011, but things got pushed back. I wanted to include something about "two fools in love" on the wedding invitations, so April Fools Day came to mind! :)

Hey April 2012 brides!!!
When do you guys plan on going dress shopping? I started right away (got engaged Dec tried on dresses in Jan) so far ive tried on 21 dresses I still havnt found THE ONE... I know theres a lot of time but when i hear it takes 6 to 8 months for the dress to come in, then another few weeks to a month for alterations I kind of panic 
Have you guys felt this way? O and let me add the only time i am able to try on dresses is on Saturdays because I work and attend college..Saturdays are very busy days so when I go i feel a little rush (not good for a panicking bride)
@Mrs062305: I am in the same boat as you!! We got engaged Decmber 3rd and I tried on dresses January 15th and again on the 22nd. I tried on maybe 12 dresses, but I plan on trying on a lot more! I know what you mean by not finding the one (and its been really difficult because my mom kept saying "That's it! That's the dress!" And I've liked them, a lot, but not enough to "commit". I felt rushed at first, but then I decided as long as I get my dress ordered 10 months before the wedding I should be okay (so I have until June.)
Right now our biggest 'issue' is finding a venue. The dates are filling up fast! My FI and I thought we had time, but all three of the places we have looked at for our reception have things booked on our date. (Two of the places have more than one room, so we could still have it there.) But the other place only has April 7th & 28th available, we went there yesterday (We both took off work & I go to night school, so it worked out) & absolutely loved it! But that would mean we'd have to change our date! (Bleh!!) We signed the contract for the church yesterday also (they are flexible on the date). So yeah, this part is not fun. =/
Oh and I know how bad it sucks to have work and school and plan a wedding!
Oh how thankful I am for this. I got engaged on 1-27-11. We are planning for April 2012 wedding, either the 4-14 or 4-21! Just wondering when the planning will start for everyone?
We've started the planning- we've got the church, and are renting the reception venue soon!
@Zinzerena: I am! I am! And it feels like an ETERNITY away! Has anyone found great deals due to having an April wedding? My wedding venue gave us a wonderful deal!
I am still an April bride, but because of the reception venue availability we had to change the date from April 21, 2012 to April 28th. 
Annoyed, but we signed the contract for our reception venue on Friday!! And changed the date at the church on Thursday. (We had already had a contract with the church for the 21st, but they were flexible and did not mind as long as the new date was still available.
So it is a HUGE relief to have the two "places" done with!
Hey guys! 4-14-12 here! we have EVERYTHING booked except caterer and florist, which both of those will be booked by April of this year! I even have my dress! I've had several actually, but I have gained weight and am sporting some awesome curves that I love! So I have had to buy more than 2 dresses. I'll keep the actual number to myself.. hehe.
@missyjane77:sorry this is so late! I forgot about this post! Yes! I attend Clemson! woot. I'm a 6th year Senior. haha.. yay switching majors. Why not get married in Cola? I know a really good caterer that you can get for $10 per person! Our menu is elaborate and includes open bar and we're only at $22.50 pp! If you want details let me know! I got the hookups! haha
