So right after we first got engaged, FI and I went to Minnesota and while there I found a Linde star sapphire ring that I liked a lot. I wasn’t ready to call it “the one” yet, so I put it on hold (his aunt lives down the street from the antique store so I knew she could mail it to me). I hemmed and hawed and looked around at e-rings for two(!) months before I found one I loved (alexandrite in filigree) in another antique store in Ocean City. So he bought me my alexandrite and it’s beautiful, but I was still wistful about my little star and planned to buy it for myself when my refund came in. However….today is my birthday and when I opened my present what did I find but my own pretty Minnesota ring! So now I am wearing my engagement ring and my 30th birthday ring and both my hands are thrilled. What a great guy! What thoughtful things have other bees’ partners done recently?

Aww what a super sweet man you have! Do you have photos of the rings?

Very adorable! Yes…post photos of the rings if you have them!

Here they are, e-ring photo from our engagement shoot, bday ring photo of mediocre quality taken just now with some help from my lovely model Payton. The alexandrite is blue in natural light, but purple under inside lights!

okay, this is embarrassing, but I want someone to see my puppy picture, so *bump*

The puppy pic is too cute. I might still that one, if I can get my dog to sit still.

first of all – your ring is beautiful! i love how deep the colour is!
secondly, you do have an adorable pup, so i don’t blame you for bumping 😛

I love the ring on pet pics! My kitty actually bit my ring so I’ll never chance that again. Imagine cleaning the pave if that went down the hatch!

Haha so cute! Your dog is ADORABLE! 🙂
I LOVE alexandrite. It’s soooo pretty, I was also tempted to get one for my e-ring! Yours is beautiful. I think I’d like an alexandrite stone on a necklace…
