DisneyKb:  A bit over 5 weeks to go! I’m starting to worry about how little time there is left! Have to start paying vendors soon.

I had my second dress fitting today, and to cut a long story short, I have to go buy new shoes because they are too tall, or should I say the dress is too short! It was the same pair of shoes I had back when I ordered the dress with a custom hem length. Basically the dress shop ladies don’t know how to put a dress on a bride properly (it should have been sitting higher up on my body). Now I have to buy new shoes, and shoe shopping makes me so frustrated! I see so many gorgeous shoes but for various reasons they won’t work on my feet. So annoyed. It took forever finding these ones in the first place. First world problem I know, but I spent a good hour sobbing at home. My FI is over a foot taller than me, so I really wanted some height 🙁 I loved my wedding shoes. Now they’re just shoes. 🙁

One month today for me! November 1! I feel like I have a lot left to do- but maybe it’s not so bad? Have to do seating chart, finalize all the details for our ceremony, get our programs and menus printed, get bridesmaids gifts, finish a few small DIYs, finalize our day of schedule then call and confirm with all our vendors. Oh yeah, and attend my last two dress fittings.

So excited yet so panicky at the same time!!!

I am very stressed, recovering from 2 lots of surgery I have had in the last few months, leaving me with an open wound and a medical pump, fingers crossed I will be well by the wedding. I have done most things, set up some meetings with the celebrant and photographer, still have to get minor alterations done, seating chart, finish bombinerie, write up schedule for the day and probably lots of other small tasks.

DisneyKb:  5-ish weeks and working on details.  Had my second fitting on Friday, working on escort cards, cermony program, payments, timelines, vendor meetings…I’m at the point where I just want it to BE HERE so I can be done with all the idiosynchratic details!!!

copperbird90:  The same thing happened to me! I’m 5’8″ and when the store ordered my dress, the ladies asked if I planned on wearing heels. I told them yes, but not super tall ones, maybe 2-ish inches. When my dress came in, it was barely long enough on me barefoot. According to my alterations seamstress, they ordered a standard length hem when they should have ordered a longer one. I’m so annoyed! I didn’t want to wear crazy high heels anyways, but now I’m stuck having to find COMPLETELY flat shoes that actually look bridal, and that just wasn’t what I wanted. So I feel your frustration. 🙁
