1. The photographer we worked with literally told us where to go, how to pose, what to do, etc. It was a lot less worrisome than I thought it would be. I would send her some pictures that you're in love with so she can get an idea of what you like.
2. I wouldn't worry about taking off your glasses. I think if you wear them every day and that's how people are used to seeing you, then I would wear them!!
I second everything kmattso2 said. I didn't think I wanted engagement pics, and wanted TTD instead, but I'm SOOO glad we did them. It gives us a chance to get to know the photographer and get comfortable in front of the camera. I would definitely figure out what types of things you like. Whether you want matte finish and a soft romantic feel or edgy & wacky with props, make sure the photog knows this ahead of time! Also, if you wear glasses; wear your glasses! My fiance wore his and they looked fine.
i'm not much help for you question #1, cuz i actually feel exactly the same way.
but for question #2, i agree with the bees above - totally wear your glasses! that's how everyone sees you everyday, and they are a part of who you are! i think it will actually be super duper cute :o)
also, teamzeewagen, what does TTD mean? i'm new to all these bridal acronyms...
@littlebride - TTD is a "Trash The Dress" photo shoot where the brides wears her gown (or some gown) and gets it all messy or in cool poses.
For what its worth, FI's cousin normally wears glasses, but got contacts specifically for her wedding. Throughout the entire video she is blinking CONSTANTLY, like, 6 times in a row several times a minute. When you first get contacts this could be a natural reaction, but honestly it made the video so funny! I think it would have been nicer for her to just be in her glasses. So, don't do anything crazy, wear your glasses

I just saw an someone post an opportunity for a free engagment photo shoot (to build their portfolio). I answered the ad, and luckily, I got the session!
We need to work with her and see when this will take place, but I hope soon.
I have 2 questions, just dont know what to expect:
- Do photographers usually take control of what you should be doing? I am kind of shy, and am not looking forward to having to come up with poses or shots
- Um, I kind of realized there is a little issue...both my fiance and I wear glasses. I'm pretty sure he's ok enough to take them off and still be able to see, but I'm blind as a bat! And I don't wear/have contacts! Do you think I should let the photographer know this before hand...do you think it will make the photos look ugly?
