Congratulations! It's great to know that things are guaranteed to take an upswing, now it's just wait and see how far you fly :-)
And if you move up here to the tundra, I'll be happy to help you prep for our lovely winters. Hehe.
@NDBee: We will definitely need your help on how to stay warm if we are moving up there. Right now freezing cold temperatures here are around 30 degrees and I know it gets MUCH colder up there.
@mandb122: Hehe, when it got back around to 30 we were out without jackets, just sweatshirts. -20/-30 wind chill is not uncommon around these parts, hopefully you're further south in MN. An hour or two south really does make a difference :-)
@NDBee: I think it's about a half hour north of Minneapolis or so. And yeah, when it's 50 degrees here people have on coats and at 40, it's coats, scarves gloves, boots, two pairs of socks, everything so it would definitely be a shock.
ETA: I will say that luckily we like cold better than heat. That might change in that extreme of a cold but right now we're dealing with 110 degree heat indexes some days so we'd be ready to at least try a change.
@mandb122: Don't throw away all of your old clothes. We hit 106 index today. We get it all up here! Keep us up to date on the interviews!
I will definitely keep everyone up to date on the interviews!

So I wrote a couple of days ago about a job that my husband applied to where we'd have to move every year and a half to two years on average. They called while he was at work but they should call back tomorrow for his phone interview. Hopefully by next week we'll know if we're moving for this wonderful opportunity (that may I add makes A LOT of money). We also found out where we'd be moving and if he gets the job (which I think he will), it will be quite a culture shock. We'll be moving from Columbia, SC where highs in the winter average 50-55 to Minnesota. So hopefully in a month or so I'll be looking to you bees for winter clothing advice.
There's another good part to my day though. My husband works in retail and by no means wants to make it a career. However, he got offered the assistant store manager position today which would increase our monthly income by a lot and would take us out of the position of being stressed about bills every month. The increase is substantial. We've been making around $22,000 a year combined and with this assistant manager job (even though we hope he'll get the other job anyway), he'll be making $45,000 by himself.
I just wanted to share because it really made my day when he came home grinning at me.
