I really like yellow gold for solitaires. It really makes the stone pop!

@CammySun_:  I would vote neither/other if it was a choice.  I just got a new ring for our 5 year anniversary this summer, so I was faced with the same decision as you.  I had YG for my original set, and I decided I wanted a white metal this time.  I was going to get WG, and then at the last minute I switched to Palladium for two reasons, and boy am I glad I did.  First, I have a nickel allergy.  Since I’ve never owned WG, I don’t know how I would react, but I sure didn’t want to find out with my new ring!  Second, I never understood before that WG must be replated every year or two (depending on your body chemistry and how much you wear the rings).  I am a very low-maintenance person, and I would have hated the replating nuisance!  I am very happy with Palladium, so I’ll recommend that to you.  Good luck!

@CammySun_:  In the end, you just need to try on rings over and over until you get a good idea of what you want.

Helpful tip: if you click “reply” under someone’s post, that bee will recieve a notification that you are specifically addressing them.  You can reply to multiple bees in the same post, too.

Hmmm well from the pics you’ve posted, I don’t think one looks obviously better than the other on your particular skin tone or anything. So, it’s really up to preference. I will tell you my story though, because maybe it will help. I always really hated yellow gold, so when it came to erings, white gold was the obvious choice. So this is what I got. However, once I started looking at wedding bands, I realized that what I *really* wanted was just a plain yellow gold band. To me, this shouted “MARRIED” unlike any other rings. However, because of the ring I got, this wasn’t possible, and I’m still kind of sad about it. So, consider all aspects of this, not just what you want for your ering, but also for your wband, and also consider any strong feelings/concepts you associate with either one.
