YesSnakes:  I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I lost mine 14 years ago and it was at times still quite painful not to have her around to help me plan my wedding!

Do you have any pictures of any of the decor? “Gray/Blue” can mean a lot of different things, so it’s hard to me to imagine how yellow roses would look. Even if it’s just an inspiration shot…

You could always have one yellow rose in your bouquet as a nod to the two moms… there are lots of options!

Yellow looks awesome with grey/blue. I don’t think it would clash at all; in fact, if you dig around the Internet you will be able to find lots of examples of this color scheme.  I think your reason for wanting to use yellow flowers is very sweet and you can definitely make it work.

I just googled “slate blue and yellow weddings” on pinterest. I think the colors will go fine together!

I know there’s no way to fill the hole where your mother should be in the planning process, but I personally got a lot of…satisfaction? peace? from having a picture of my own mother attached to my bouquet. It honestly made me feel like she was with me on the day. Hopefully you can do something in your own way to make you feel close to yours.

Yellow will look awesome!  All of our flowers were yellow.  The bridesmaids were in dark purple, but both of our moms decided to wear blue.  The bridesmaids carried yellow roses and they were GORGEOUS!!.
