I am a follower from İstanbul, Turkey. I want to ask your opinion on yellow gold.
A little info: Being on the Asian side, my skin has rich yellow undertones. As a result, white gold turns almost blue on me and does not look as good as yellow gold does.
This is my dress: http://www.weddinginspirasi.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/lusan-mandongus-wedding-dress-2012.jpg (please note that I won’t be wearing the gloves, the sash and the veil in this picture 🙂 )
And this is my shoe: http://cdnb.lystit.com/photos/2013/01/25/enzo-angiolini-ivo-gld-sy-love-u-too-faux-leather-platform-pumps-product-1-6224121-018649659_large_flex.jpeg
I loved the shoe for having a golden piece and its cream color complementing the dress perfectly. But when it comes to jewelry, I froze!
There are many many white gold alternatives but yellow ones are very few in my country, at least the ones that look bridal. Since I definitely want to wear some earrings, I will share with you my current alternatives.
white and yellow:
These from BHLDN are not gold but still:
And once more from BHLDN, maybe too bright but still has a tint of yellow on the background:
Do you think these are bridal enough to wear on my wedding day? Which one do you like the best? Thanks!

@Birisi: I love #1 and 4 in your pictures – very bridal! I also think #3 are beautiful, but am curious if they would be too much for your dress. What does your dress look like?

#1 looks stunning. Love it!

oh, I had given up on getting comments, sorry I didn’t see!
this is my wedding dress, and my veil will be a simple tulle cathedral veil without blusher.
I think I’m between number one and three. if only I could find a necklace that suits one of them. 🙂

I think yellow gold jewelry is beautiful! I don’t see why you wouldn’t wear it! I’m not sure I love any of the specific earrings shown; are they made with genuine stones?

My favorite are the pearl ones but the last ones are also reallyyyyyy beautiful!

@Birisi: Beautiful! I voted in the poll when you initially posted, but I was on my phone so I couldn’t leave a comment because my phone hates weddingbee. I’m doing yellow-gold jewellery as well, I love it, but I am trying to keep it by-and-large as simple and delicate as possible – mostly because I’m not into mega-bling anyway, but also because I think too much yellow gold can end up looking kinda cheap.
I voted for the pearl earrings, which will definitely go with that lovely dress, and I’d personally look for just a simple pearl pendant on a gold chain to finish the look.
Something like this would be lovely (and actually also has a matched pair of earrings), but if you wanted something more intricate, something like this or this would also look beautiful!

@Birisi: Your gown is gorgeous and the first pair of earrings will look lovely with it!

I love the roses, so romantic, and they go with your lovely dress!
I am biased towards roses though, I love them!

I am jumping in on this thread because I also am on the hunt for earrings with a hint of yellow gold. I want drop earrings with a post, and not too much “gold”.
I never thought I’d be wearing yellow gold but then I bought this headband
Sooooo. I’m really struggling.

@CaroBee: oh wow, i am obsessed with that headband!!! wish i saw it before i purchased mine!!!
OP, I am also wearing yellow gold jewellry – my engagement ring is yellow gold. My dress and my headpiece are pretty ornate (with yellow gold details) so I will just be wearing simple gold studs. Your dress is amazing and i am OBSESSED with the bhldn rose earrings!!!
