Good job! You can definitely make it to being comfortable at 5 miles by Thanksgiving. I use mapmyrun on my iphone and I love how it'll give me my average speed, my current speed, my distance and break everything down for me at the end. It's one of my favorite apps!
P.S. I've measured my distances with other methods as well and I've found mapmyrun to be very accurate.
Nice work!
I don't use MapMyRun but I use Noom, which has a similar program in it for measuring distance (since it's gps based using my phone). It's really helpful!
Nice! I don't use Map My Run because I have a Garmin. But if you can run 4 miles today, you can definitely run 5 on Thanksgiving, no problem!
I ran an 8 mile race after having run no more than 5 total miles before that, so you'll be fine on race day :) good luck. I'm also running a 5 miler on T-day.

I am running a 5 mile run on Thanksgiving. Prior to tonight, I hadn't run further than 3.1 miles, and have been worried about that. I have also been struggling with time- I have been running 12 minute miles. I got a new app- map my run, and it said I ran 4 miles in 42:35! So excited. Anyone else use my fitness pal? How accurate is it?
