I think it looks gorgeous on you and I can totally picture it at an indoor candelit reception!
Oh- thanks to whoever moved this from beehive to dress, I always forget to choose the board!
That was me! No problem! I love reorganizing posts!
it looks lovely on you! i think it's natural for us chicks to doubt ourselves (a little too often). and it'll definately work for both the ceremony and the reception!
I looked at you in the dress and then I looked at the model in the dress. You and the model are in totally different poses, so they do look different. You look much better than the model and I am sure that if you did the same pose as the model, you would look even more beautiful. I think you picked the perfect dress for the type of look you are going for.
lol :-)
I grew up with horses and I would love to have one now, but they are so expensive to keep and we aren't zoned for one, so I would have to find a place to board it.
I never grew up with animals (other than a dog) but I've always hoped that someday I would have enough land and money to keep a few. I may complain about being a city girl living in a rural area at the moment, but the truth is I kind of love it...
i think the dress is really pretty and it looks awesome in you
I love the dress! and I think it will be perfect for a candlelit reception!!
it is stunning!!!!
That dress looks WAY prettier on you than on the model! I think your dress is beautiful and very complimentary to your silhouette! It sounds like it will go perfectly with your candlelit reception. You made a great choice.
I agree that the dress looks way better on you than on the model. I think it was a great choice.
I love it! Flattering and beautiful...and I see no problem with it fitting in with your style of wedding....plus you=gorgeous bride, fits in anywhere!
Great dress!! I think you made the right choice. And I agree that it looks way better on you than on the model.
I think it looks great on you and the detail under the bust is very romantic and vintage!
I like the dress a lot! I scrolled down to the picture before reading your post and while I do think it will look good for your ceremony, I think I would have been biased to answer the same way no matter what type of ceremony you said you were having!
I think the dress is beautiful! And don't forget that you can change the overall look of a dress by just adding accessories. So if you want to make it more casual, you can always choose some funkier jewelry or an informal veil or hair flower. If you want to go formal, you can go the rhinestone/pearl route.
But overall it's a great dress for your shape!

Ok bees, I've need a little reassurance. I bought a dress (though it hasn't come in yet) which was nothing like I thought I would pick. I always have tons of trouble finding clothes that look good on my hourglass shape and don't obscure my waist. I must have tried on 40+ dresses and eventually decided that the style I loved wasn't flattering. So I picked a dress that I thought made me look great. But since then I have always worried that it won't look right for an outdoor vintage wedding. I tried to gear the design choices to a more elegant vintage rather than a rustic vintage (which I initially wanted) but I'm still worried. I wanted an a-typical dress, but I always pictured a flowy sheath, you know?
So help me out. What do you think of this dress, and will it look ok for a summer outdoor ceremony and with a vintage indoor candlelit reception? (also, the train in this pic is weird because it was caught on the podium...)
I feel like I can't get advice from my friends because I don't want anyone to see me in the dress, but the dress on the website looks totally different: http://www.allurebridals.com/index.php?id=3&product_id=208
Also, I want to say that 95% of the time I LOVE the dress- but every once and a while I get doubts...
