Yes or no to soldering rings? Show me yours!

I am so glad I soldered them. I really don’t see any reason not to. Why would you ever need them unsoldered?

I soldered and have never had a bad thought about it. They always stay up and together and r not getting damaged by each other. I still have all my karat stamps and identifying marks in the inside of the band’s.

@alreadyawife:  This sounds crazy, but I hate the idea of souldered rings. I don’t know why, and I know it makes me sound insane, but it just freaks me out and grosses me out (why?!? I don’t know why! why am I so weird?!)

mine drove me crazy spinning around when i first wore them together & i would’ve never worn my band by itself anyway (curved), so i had them soldered. the lady at the jeweler was like “then you can’t wear them separately”…………..umm yeah.  anyway, no regrets.

I got mine soldered. Because the bands are curved they can all fit together only one way. I don’t regret getting them soldered. Sometimes though, I wish I had gotten one straight band instead, and so I can’t try out different bands anymore, because my engagement ring is soldered. Overall though, I like all the bling!

I have two curved bands so I had mine soldered before the wedding. No regrets here. If I really wanted just a band to wear I’m sure this would be a good excuse to buy a new one too, hehe.

@alreadyawife:  If I had got a curved band to sit perfectly with my engagement ring I would have had them soldered for my own sanity- it would drive me crazy having to keep realligning them! However, it was important to me that I could wear my band on its own so ended up not going with a curved/soldered band

I don’t have mind soldered together, but I am considering it since my stepsister had hers done and loves it.

I asked the jeweler about it before I got my wedding band and they basically said it wasn’t common and that the major con is you can’t wear your bands separately… But for myself, I don’t really see myself doing that anyway. 🙂

Mine aren’t soldered and I know I never will get them soldered. My wedding band is a straight, channel set diamond band and I typically wear just that on the weekends/running errands. I love having that option! When I wear both rings together, my rings don’t spin so that’s not a factor. I think if I had a curved band that I would never wear alone, I might think differently about soldering my rings but for now, I love them seperate!

This might be a good idea for me…my husband wants me to wear both rings at all times.
