Just started to consider getting my set soldered together to prevent spinning opposite directions.
Who has done it? Any regrets???
i know I would never be able to wear the band alone which is a bummer….but I have other bands here I could wear if I do not want to wear my set.
any other negatives??
please show me photos of your soldered rings!
also, if anyone has UNsoldered (changed their minds)….how did that go? We’re your rings damaged???

I am so glad I soldered them. I really don’t see any reason not to. Why would you ever need them unsoldered?

@mrsSonthebeach: +1. Mine are as well. I have two bands so it works out better this way.

I think curved bands look WAY better soldered on!

@alreadyawife: This sounds crazy, but I hate the idea of souldered rings. I don’t know why, and I know it makes me sound insane, but it just freaks me out and grosses me out (why?!? I don’t know why! why am I so weird?!)

@alreadyawife: I am really happy I decided to solder them, no regrets.

mine drove me crazy spinning around when i first wore them together & i would’ve never worn my band by itself anyway (curved), so i had them soldered. the lady at the jeweler was like “then you can’t wear them separately”…………..umm yeah. anyway, no regrets.
eta: sorry a little blurry

I got mine soldered. Because the bands are curved they can all fit together only one way. I don’t regret getting them soldered. Sometimes though, I wish I had gotten one straight band instead, and so I can’t try out different bands anymore, because my engagement ring is soldered. Overall though, I like all the bling!

@mrsSonthebeach: Your set is beautiful 🙂

I have two curved bands so I had mine soldered before the wedding. No regrets here. If I really wanted just a band to wear I’m sure this would be a good excuse to buy a new one too, hehe.

@alreadyawife: If I had got a curved band to sit perfectly with my engagement ring I would have had them soldered for my own sanity- it would drive me crazy having to keep realligning them! However, it was important to me that I could wear my band on its own so ended up not going with a curved/soldered band

I don’t have mind soldered together, but I am considering it since my stepsister had hers done and loves it.
I asked the jeweler about it before I got my wedding band and they basically said it wasn’t common and that the major con is you can’t wear your bands separately… But for myself, I don’t really see myself doing that anyway. 🙂

Mine aren’t soldered and I know I never will get them soldered. My wedding band is a straight, channel set diamond band and I typically wear just that on the weekends/running errands. I love having that option! When I wear both rings together, my rings don’t spin so that’s not a factor. I think if I had a curved band that I would never wear alone, I might think differently about soldering my rings but for now, I love them seperate!

This might be a good idea for me…my husband wants me to wear both rings at all times.
