So this is what happened today… at the 2nd seamstress. Only went to her a few days ago. The first seamstress put my bustle on the tulle part of my hem and when she yanked on it it tore! I was devastated and she blamed it on me saying that I must of ripped it when i was going into the dress, but it happened whilst I was standing still and the dress was on properly. I must admit I am a sucker when it comes to seamstresses. She did the stitch on the neckline converted it to a sweetheart, but the first trial (posted in the previous posts) of the stitch looked better than when I picked it up. I argued with her and she said that it was just me. I told her that it was uneven, and we argued back and forth. I wanted to try it on but she said that the dress is starting to look worn down. So I took just took the money and I thought I would think about it, but I was too scared to touch it, because it looked worn down supposidly. Anyway, with 2 weeks left I finally got the balls to take it to another seamstress (a few days ago). I went there today, and I unzipped the back and I saw ….. PINK LIPSTICK SMUDGED ON THE RIGHT and I went straight into denial. I thought “O.k so there is lipstick on the inside of my dress, either the seamstress accidently did it or someone has tried on my dress…
I put on my dress, and I was amazed with the bustle and the lowering of the back. NO MORE BACK FAT!I forgot about the lipstick. The seamstress kept on saying that I was lucky to be wearing such a beautiful dress, because we can’t get Vera Wang that cheap in Australia. Even her dresses are double what you guys pay. I was happy that it was all fixed! She said that the stitch in the front would be taken out slowly, but with the back and bustle I believe that there was no need to touch the neckline again. The dress looked stunning either way!
So I get driving, I am picking up my dress on Monday…my mind drifted back to the lipstick. Should I say something? I called my Maid/Matron of Honor and she told me if I didn’t say anything that they would be thinking that they got away with it, and who knows who else will try on my dress. I am 100% sure that it wasn’t there and I haven’t been wearing lipstick for a month because I got a cold sore. So I called the new seamstress and she said Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm…very long pause… then she said it must have been me, then she said it was the girl that wore my dress before I bought it. I told her no one else wore it, I bought it brand new. I think she thought that I bought it off a girl in the US, because I said that I got a friend to send it down to me…………. anyway.. thought of the day…seamstresses are as bad as crooks.
