I bought this tea yesterday at Target, and I just had to share because it. is. amazing. The taste is a little odd with sweet and cinnamony notes, but ladies, it’s worth it! This is the only thing that has worked to moderate my wedding stress and help me through some low moods. It’s better than a glass of wine! After a cup, I’m able to relax and laugh, and I just feel mellowed out.
To get the full effect, make certain not to boil your water, or you’ll scorch the kava.

@april13th: I have two Yogi teas, and they both taste really good. I’ve only been drinking them a couple days so can’t say if they do what they claim, but at least they taste good and are helping me cut down on coffee.

Just a PSA, don’t drink tea containing Kava or Valerian Root if you’re taking an SSRI, they are contraindicated!

And avoid alcohol with kava tea, too!

I love Kava! I find that just al ittle bit of honey makes the taste less…wierd. Not that it’s bad on its own or anything, but its definitley an aquired taste.

@april13th: I love love this tea AND the positive sayings on the tea bags too ;p

I haven’t tried that particular tea, but I do love tea. I rarely drink just a cup so I don’t typically purchase tea bags (plus I can figure out how much I want, mix flavors, and i think it’s slightly cheap to do loose tea). I have some kava (it’s ground up, they make it in 4 flavors from this company). It’s pretty good to de-stress but the flavor isn’t that great. I have made the banana into a smoothie and currently mix the chocolate w/ some hot cocoa.

I just bought this exact tea for the first time today on a whim. I wasn’t even planning on looking at time but I happened to see it and asked my sister if it worked well. She said it did so I got it. Good to hear others agree!
