Ive been to Yosemite...no weddings though lol. Sorry!! You should try google too Im sure you can find pics. GL to you!
Hi Chef D---we are getting married 11/10/12 in Yosemite. I'd love to compare notes too. Ours will be small... Only 28 people. I'm super excited.
@Jewelno: Thank you. I would also love to compare notes. Congratulations!! I will private message you
I am so excited.
@MissTX: Thank you. I have been googling like crazy lol. I just wanted to see if I could find another bride to compare with. Good luck with the wedding plans and congratulations.
@ChefDori: Hi there! Congratulations! I'm getting married in Yosmeite 4/15/12 (YAY!!!) at the Ahwahnee Hotel. My FH and I both absolutely love the great outdoors and thought what better place to get married than Yosemite. Our wedding is supposed to be small and intimate, but with extended family members inviting themselves, we're at over 100 now. If your looking for a florist yet, check out Natalie Galasso's page at http://www.nataliegalasso.com/. She is my florist for the wedding and I absolutely love her. She's creative, honest and very helpful. If you want see some photos from the most popular Yosemite photographer, check out Johnny Stafford at johnnystaffordphotography.com. He isn't doing our photos, but his photos are great. The only thing is they all start to look the same.
We strongly considered it but with our large guest list decided it wasn't worth the hassle. We go to Yosemite twice a year (June and NYE weekend) and have been doing so since I was too young to walk so I'd consider myself a bit of an expert.
I still have all the information from the planner at the Ahwahnee Hotel just sitting here, looking at me with sad eyes. *Le Sigh*
I look forward to seeing photos from you bees!
My friend got married there, their photos are AMAZING!! Here's the link:

@Mmmmaria: Thank you! Congratulations to you too! It looks like we are 99.9% sure that they wedding will be taking place at Tenaya. They lodge is gorgeous and the price includes more then the Ahwahnee. Although we are going to go for a site visit to both before we sign a contract. I would love to share some ideas with you. Do you have a theme on top of the outdoor, woodsy feel?
@ChefDori: Thank you. Yes, we are going with a vintage inspired theme because the Ahwahnee is a historical hotel. At first we were going with a rustic/organic feel, but decided against it.Luckily, Natalie is so flexible and accommodating that changing things up two months before the wedding wasn't a big deal. Are you doing anything to welcome your guests or to say farewell? I'm torn betweeing doing a welcome BBQ/farewell brunch and doing welcomefarewell bags. Things arealready adding up so much, but because everyone is making the trip, we want to thank them. The day of the weddinis will be such a long day as it is, we don't want to do too much... How are your plans coming along?
I'm still trying to find a domestic destination wedding site for my small wedding that doesn't break the bank. Can those of you who are planning your weddings in Yosemite give me a ball park of what you're spending for your ceremony, reception and lodging costs?
I am so jealous... I want to get married in yosemite, but a lot of family could make it if we did and its really imortant for us to have all our fam there... but I told FI that in 25 years we will renew our vows there haha.... Good lck... sorry this post was useless!
@Razmataz: Congratulations!!! At Tenaya Lodge it is between $10,000-$14,000 (for 100 people) for a ceremony site, venue for the reception (5 hrs), buffet, hors d'oeuvres, utensils, linens, (the higher price includes a cocktail hr and wine with dinner), chair covers. Here is the link for you to look over. You can do a platted dinner for less per person. Charlene the event planner is wonderful and very helpful. They will send you an estimate if you want one. Around $100 per person. 50 people would be half of this.

At Ahwahnee it is $12,400.00 (100 people) for the ceremony, venue for reception, buffet and champagne toast. It does not include the hors d'oeuvres, wine, linens etc...It is just the dinner and venue sites.
The link will give you information on Ahwahnee, Yosemite Lodge, Curry Village, and Wawona. You can email Lori she is nice and will answer all your questions and to get estimates. Around $125-150 per person after you add all the extras. They even have all inclusive wedding packages, excluding rooms.
