Its safe to say that us brides-to-be have the advantage when it comes to purchasing wedding bands. Our fiances shop in jewelry stores for diamonds, a wedding band, and if we are lucky- another band (and we all know they are screaming inside, because there are way more options than they imagined). And we just get them one band. Totally unfair.
A couple of weeks ago, we priced his wedding band and looked at styles. I’d be spending anywhere from $200-$350 on a nice tungsten comfort fit band for him. I was just about to buy it when one of my co-workers told me about Tanga. http://www.tanga.com
I haven’t heard of or done a lot of research on the website, but he told me he bought his ring on sale from them for $20. Also a nice tungsten comfort fit…I decided to give the website a try, found a ring identical to the one in the store, for $10…plus free 7 day shipping. I ordered it skeptical if I would get my credit card information stolen, but 7 days later the ring was in my mailbox and no one hacked into my account. I got it inspected- its real! and it fits! Unbelievable.
I ended up taking it to work to show the co-worker who suggested it to me, and somehow lost it in transit to work. Made for a sad day, but I went back and ordered another, this time for $12.99. It also arrived a week later and now its in a safe place.
So, any bride, whether you have a tight budget or not, should really check it out and save that money for the honeymoon!!

@annthewhoaman: We got DH’s tungsten ring on Ebay for $60. He absolutely LOVES it!

I bought FI’s ring for $25, and even bought a couple extras incase he damages it. It’s titanium with a wood ring. He’s a mechanic and rough on his hands, there’s no way gold would survive him.

@annthewhoaman: I ordered his from amazon – I actually got him 2 different tungsten rings – one was $15 and the other was $30 (he couldn’t decide if he wanted a dark one or a light one…lol) – the same exact rings are sold at other stores like you said for $2-350

I bought my hubby’s tungsten band for $200 at the mom and pop jewelry store we got my ring from – and after I spent some time on the Bee AFTER this purchase, I realize I got screwed on the price. Oh well, it was only $200, but I could have found one for ridiculously cheaper on Amazon or something.

I ordered two (one for me and one for him) from tanga after reading your post. They did take a while to get here. They have that up to 10 day waiting time to process/package them and then the shipping took a while plus they went on backorder for almost two weeks, so it took a month to get the rings, but it was well worth the wait to save so much money. They are really nice quality and fit well. I definitely would recommend them as long as you don’t need the rings asap.

We paid $0.01 for his. No joke. (There was $5 shipping). It’s a stainless steel ring from an Amazon Black Friday sale. He is so proud of how cheap we got it haha. I think it’s crazy to spend hundreds or thousands on just a plain band.
