…or do you?!
Ladies, how did you seal up your invites? I can’t lick them closed w/o thinking of that Seinfeld commercial. Urban myth or not, that’s just nasty.
Help please! 😀
(Thankfully FI didn’t mind doing a lot of them, but I’ve still got about 40% left to go and he’s at work. I could just bring them to his office hehehe.)

Glue sticks! Those things were a godsend. Not the ones you bought in like elementary school, but the ones filled with liquid glue with a sponge tip on the end.
Ah, found a pic, thanks google images!

My FI and licked ’em. We tried to take a rag and wet the corner and do it, but that was taking wayyyy too much time. We had stickers though too. If you don’t want to lick them you could try just sponging some water on them. It will work, but if you don’t find it goes fast enough, just lick them.

You can buy a licker at office supply stores, it’s basically a tube you fill with water, with a sponge tip.

That’s what she said!
I put spit on my finger and ran it along the glue strip. Classy all the way!!

@misspeanut: I wish I had seen some of those before! I don’t have any of those, but will for sure be on the lookout for them next time I’m out and about. Those will come in handy for Christmas cards!
@megz06: ugh I can tell without even trying I won’t have patience for it. Guess I’ll be licking them. And drinking bleach afterwards. (KIDDING!) Haha.

@DeathByDesign: awww sorry! I did most of everything else b/c FI was working, but when he asked what he could do after work last night, I pointed at a pile and said “lick” lol. Did you have a lot of invites?

@MissNoodles: That’s what I used too, I only knew because I worked in an office supply store when I was younger. I’m surprised there isn’t a better solution yet!

I bought an evelope sealer, which is basically a tube of water with a sponge at the end. It was great, although FI would squeeze it too hard and some envelopes were way too wet.
