Ok, so if anyone happens to remember, a few wks back I posted about hating my job.(http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/had-a-panic-attack-this-morning-due-to-my-job#axzz2RlrOiVJI)
I’ve applied everywhere (at least that’s how it feels) and I’m happy to report that I have officially put in my two weeks and have accepted an At Home position as an Apple technician. Basically I’d be a customer service rep helping people out with their Ipod or Iphone issues in the comfort of my own home. And It’s full time 🙂 I’m so excited. I’ve been attempting to get into customer service for a while now ( I love helping people out and I have tons of patience with yelling people lol ), so this is just an amazing way to get my foot in the door.
I feel. amazing. Like this giant weight was lifted off of my shoulders. Even putting in my two weeks was easy. We had just hired two new people so my timing was perfect and there were no issues whatsoever.
I have a LOT to do in these last two weeks, transferring over responsibilities and training my boss on things only I knew how to do, but guys.
I’m so happy.
My only negative is the pay. It’s a definite drop. like $3.50 lower than my current pay. But I figured I’d save a good portion on gas ( My current job is quite a drive away) and my new job encourages OT which is perfectly fine with me :)Also there is definitely more opportunities for advancement.
Have I mentioned how happy I am?
P.S. I’m also very very very scared. I’m not a big fan of change and this is a big jump for me. But I’m trying to let my excitement override my fear. I keep telling myself that everything will work out and that this is a good thing. It is a good thing. It’s just a bit scary as well. But it will all work out.
