Hi bees! I just happened across this amazing story about pen pals who reunited and got married! I thought I'd share it with you since us bees tend to enjoy these cutesy romance stories! I hope you like it as much as I did!

AW!! That's sweet. :) Reminds me of me and Mr Lily.

I met Mr Lily when I first moved to his hometown when I was in 5th grade. My mom stuck me in Girl Scouts (much to my dismay) so that I would make friends. I became fast friends with his sister and his mom was our GS troop leader. I would stay at their house often after our GS meetings and eat dinner with their family. The first memory I have of Mr Lily is eating pizza across the table from him, he stared at me the entire time. It was a little akward (I was in 5th grade and he was my best friend's brother). I later asked FSIL what the deal was and why her brother was so weird. She laughed and said that's just him. I had a crush on him from that day forward. We rarely talked after middle school and once I had graduated, he had joined the Army and been stationed at Fort Hood. A few years ago, I went out with FSIL and she said I should email him as I had asked how he was doing (knowing that he was either deployed or preparing to be deployed.) Well, she suggested I email him...so I did. We emailed back and forth for about a year. When he came home on leave last February, we went on a date. That was the end of it. My heart was gone. Now here I am, planning our wedding and living across the country from my entire family. I've never been happier!

I hope we aren't the only ones with a great story to tell. :) I love hearing stories like that.

    That's so sweet!

I think everyone should adopt a soldier.

I adopted one through adopt a US Solider organization.

Ms Lily - me and the mister met last year online before he was coming to MA for a specialized training.  We spent about 2 weeks chatting online and then it turned into long phone conversations.  He flew from TX to MA about 2 weeks before training would start just to have quality time with me.  We had dinner, went to the movies, and had some long conversations, needless to say by the end of his weekend trip I was sure he was the one (although I would never admit it) .  By the time he had to leave I found myself crying in my car b/c I didn't want to be away from him.  I remember telling him over breakfast I don't want to scare you but I feel I'm where I'm suppose to be.

Two weeks later he was in MA for 4 months of training and any free time was spent together - and almost a year and half later we are engaged and going strong even despite the 8.5 hour difference between here and Afghanistan.

He jokes and says "You would have missed out on the best thing of your life if you never responded to my message" b/c I sure was not open to talking to a stranger online but I am so happy I did.
